I actually walked around the area and looked at what rooms were available. I got a window room for less than other hotels nearby that weren't window rooms. Everyone at the hotel was warm and gracious. Centrally located but quiet and even spotlessly clean.
The hotel is situated in a side street which makes it ideal for escaping the noise. We asked for a quiet room and got one on the highest floor. Rooms are spacious and clean. We found our room however to be a little bit moisty. This dissapeared by turning on the A/C. Ideal stay for being sleeping in the old quarter but without the noise.
We stayed at this hotel before and after out Halong bay cruise. This hotel was centred right in the heart of old quarter but down an ally way so away from the hustle and bustle, and quiet at night. It was a great location to walk to the local attractions. The rooms were clean, and it was lovely to have 4 pillows , what a bonus and the beds were comfortable, probably the best we had on our stay ( they were not hard) the linen was clean , however the towels could need an upgrade. The breakfast was at another hotel but we were escorted to breakfast and it was quite a variety and also a choice to have something cooked. The staff were amazing , very friendly and accommodating, we were waiting for a tour company to pick us up and they were running late , they immediately offered to call them for us and we were told they would be here in 5 mins. They also gave us a little gift at the end of our stay which was a very nice touch. Be prepared it’s NOT a 5 star hotel but I don’t care about that as long as I have clean facilities to come back to when I’ve been out exploring all day , we also were able to get a late check out for a small fee as out plane didn’t fly out till 8 pm that night .…
My daughter and I visited Vietnam and this was the perfect location for our time in Hanoi. We were close to the lake and were able to walk to several different museums. Fun shopping and great restaurants are nearby. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is dedicated to service. They were able to arrange our airport transfers as well as our Halong Bay cruise. The email communication was excellent. I would be so happy to return.
Skyline Hotel is excellent value for money. Situated in the old part of town down a quiet little alleyway, it is so accessible to everything. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They offer a warm welcome and go out of there way to help. The room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast is off premises, but just a short walk. Great breakfast and many choices. We would definitely stay here again. A big thank you to the lovely staff.
