What made our whole three weeks in Vietnam was our first choice at Essence Palace Hotel & Spa. The second day we were there we met the manager, Steve. He was kind enough to help us create an itinerary for seeing all of Vietnam. It was helpful that he was familiar with the areas we wanted to visit. Essence Palace also has sister hotels in other parts of Vietnam which was helpful. Steve not only helped us create a fantastic itinerary that involved several flights as well as a train ride. He arranged someone to pick us up as well as drop us off at each airport and hotel. We felt like celebrities ! Someone was always waiting for us with our names on a card waiting to drop us off at the next destination. One ride even included a Mercedes. The other staff was always eager to make our stay equally enjoyable. Tracie, Ken, Tony, Hannah, as well as Frank and Pepper. The American names they went by made it easier for us. My wife and I have been all over the world and we've never experienced the hospitality that we did while visiting Essence Palace Hotel. Several days prior to leaving, I felt it necessary to leave $50 in the tip box next to the desk. On our final morning, I was thinking how much fun we had and it was all from the help of Steve and his recommendations for other hotels. He created the whole itinerary the second day we were there. So I took another $50 and wanted to give it to Steve to keep for himself. He politely asked me to drop it in the tip box for his team. I was very impressed with his integrity. Its my hope that the owners of Essence Palace Hotel & Spa really know the value of their employees. They genuinely cared and wanted you to enjoy your stay with them. In conclusion. I highly recommend staying at the Essence Hotel & Spa. We enjoyed several spa treatments which were fantastic. We also ate several times downstairs at their restaurant. Great food, great value.…
Excellent hotel in the heart of the city. Close to everything and central to the food, shopping and entertainment of Hanoi.More important is the fantastic service provided by every staff member. The room was well appointed and included a nice big welcome fruit bowl. The decorations, honeymoon bed and fruits were highly appreciated. The staffs (especially Frank & Ken) are very well trained in interacting with the guests by providing useful information, they ensured I was enjoying my stay in Hanoi and assisted with bookings and recommendations. The reception staff from check in remembered my name and greeted me every time I came and went. They were so helpful with advice and any requests. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to all staying in Hanoi.. And Don't forget to check out their Gia Ngu restaurant (Must try-Beef in coconut)…
The staff here are what really makes this hotel. It has a great location and is super clean with good food but, the staff are exceptional. It also has a spa which is well worth visiting - we had a wonderful scrub with a fresh rose petal and lime bath and followed by a superb massage!
This is a very friendly place, with good restaurant in the basement (great breakfast), and the staff is super -- I was there 4 times already, In the center of old town with lots of restaurant and shopping options. Front office staff always there to help, was impressed with Tracy's and Steve's and the other's super can-do attitude.
