Excellent service from the staffs. They were very helpful and informative regarding our queries. Always concerned about our stay in their premise. Extending our stay in the hotel and getting a transport back to the airport was done promptly. Most importantly spacious room and toilet. Welldone
+ Good location and friendly helpful staff. Located right near the lake and all the attractions of the old quarter. - The hotel is quite aged, doesn’t look like photos and the facilities need some work. Majority of the gym equipment doesn’t work and breakfast wasn’t great.
The hotel is well situated in Hanoi, close to all that the old quarters has to offer. Given this is in central Hanoi there is just general noise from outside which you will struggle to escape anywhere. We were first given a room on the ground floor, it was noisy, not just from the outside but from the reception area. Our second room (we asked to move) was much nicer and a lot quieter on the 3rd floor. The room quality is what you would expect from a 3* hotel in Hanoi. Pool area is small, there are a couple of sun loungers but I wouldn’t recommend this as a destination if you were hoping to catch some rays by the pool. However, It is good for a quick dip to shrug of jet lag ! Overall the hotel is clean. The staff are excellent and helpful. The phone line seems to be unmanned despite there being someone on reception at all times.…
Charged for early check-in despite room being available. Reception staff wasn’t welcoming, they were professional. Its an ordinary hotel. Vegetarian options weren’t available for breakfast. The location of the hotel was good and lively.
Wish I had read these reviews before trusting the ratings on Booking.com and Google. Check in was a passive aggressive affair, with the front desk demanding upfront payment or needing to hold our passports until we checked out. When we said we might be okay with them keeping our passports, they were taken aback, adding that there was a chance they could 'lose' our passports, and hence it was 'safer' for everyone if we paid up now. They offered us a room upgrade but the damage was done. The staff warmed up to us later, but needless to say, this first interaction set the tone for the rest of our stay. Rooms were larger than most, buffet was satisfactory, hotel location was v. central but the pool was shockingly small, had no floor lights and hadn't been cleaned in a while. Even in the daytime, you couldn't see the bottom of the pool clearly because the water was murky. The rooftop bar was abandoned and the counter was filthy. Returned to the pool on Sunday afternoon and it was being cleaned - excellent for whoever would use it next, but not for us. Our time at the hotel we had chosen for the pool alone, was a disappointment.…
Staying in Silk Queens on 2nd Sept Hanoi. let me share my bad experiences here With this lady Ms Moon 1. She asked me to book directly instead of booking.com or agoda ( where I was also getting credits) but she persuade me for Grand Luxury Room and in the end they upgraded only one room of the two rooms we booked 2. They got my luggage in afternoon saying that they will move us in but till late night 10;30 PM ( we came at home 10) the luggage was lying near reception. 3. Trip to Halong Bay - She charged me with 43 USD per person for 4 person for the trip and send us to a the Non AC trip in hot summers. All the Halong Bay trips with 40 to 45 USD are with AC, I had checked with her that there will be AC but now she chooses to lie and basically cheat us with extreme price, probably making money herself. Note - I had also asked the guide why he doesn’t want to start AC but he chose to ignore. 4. The staff cannot speak English at all, so if you need something you are stuck. While the room size is big, no wonder with such lying manager ( Ms Moon) it gets less booked even with such good Infra and good price Basically I get bad services, gets cheated on the room booking and they mint money on downgraded…
I've stayed in a few hotels in Hanoi and this was the best value, friendliest staff & great location. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms large and private (can be an issue in some hotels). The view from the roof is lovely and we were upgraded to a bigger room with a view. I do not hesitate to recommend Silk Queen Hotel.
Very nice Hotel, rooms clean and spacious, the Staff very friendly and nothing is any trouble for them. Close to the street markets and local food venues If I get to return to Hanoi this is wear I’ll be staying.
Stayed 3 nights at the start of our honeymoon. Bed was decorated wonderfully with towel swans. Room was a good size. Roof top bar gave a great view of hectic Hanoi. Food & drinks there were a great introduction to Vietnam. Felt we were important guests - happily stay again
We stayed 3 nights in a grand deluxe room. We liked our stay here. Our room was clean and spacious with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was ok, could have done with a bit more choice. We were here during cold wet and drizzly weather so didn't venture up to the pool on the roof. The hotel is in a good position, close to main sites.
