Hotel is clean and tidy and staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are ok. Shower got cold quickly. Our friends room's bath was leaking but nothing was done about it and their conditioning wasn't working properly either. Issue not resolve in the 3 nights we stayed. Breakfast was melons choice of 2 cereal, bacon eggs beans rice noodles salad. I... More

Only stopped here to 'freshen up' Glad as could not have used anymore than a few hours. Alright if you just want somewhere to shower and lay head but want to experience 'real life' Although give them credit clean and tidy. Room had no window only air con - so if it didn't work you are a bit stuffed. There... More

This hotel was chosen for us by Trailfinders in Newcastle and proved to be a good choice. Whilst not luxurious, it was clean, comfortable, and well located for major sights. We only ate breakfast here, which was satisfying and provided lots of choice, but there was also a restaurant and snack bar if you wanted to use them. Staff were... More

this was a really average hotel, with big differences between the rooms; we were in a small room at first and during our second stay we had a larger and cleaner room with less dust (we are allergic to dust). The airconditioning is really dusty, noisy and kept us up at night; during our last night, we were lucky we... More

When planning this three week trip, I told my advisors that I didn't need to have all 4* and was happy with some average hotels to keep it all in budget. that is pretty much what I got here. However, that said, it is really well placed near the old city in Hanoi which is really the beating heart of... More

This hotel appears fine at first but does not have the facilities I would have hoped for. The location was pretty good and the room basically fine, air con was very effective. However, having flights out at 20.45 we were unable to include a late check out due to the hotel being full, this was fine as we were told... More

The Anise is in a handy location for the Old Quarter of Hanoi with some of the major sights being within a 1km walk. The room was a good size with a large bathroom and bath. Small complaint here, the configuration of the fixed shower screen and taps makes it awkward to turn the taps on without climbing in the... More

We arrived late in the evening only to be told our room was "broken" and that we were being moved to another hotel across the park for that night. We returned the next morning and had been upgraded to a park view room. The room had a great view , a king sized bed and a gorgeous bath. So we... More

This must be one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. The room was awful. It was dirty, it wasn’t cleaned while we were out and the shower, which was in the bath, flooded over the floor. As a result the towels and bath mat were soaked and not replaced. The air con didn’t work either. First experience is... More
