This hotel is non existent. Last reviews were dated last year. In fact, my credit card was fraudulently charged using this hotel name when I booked another hotel for our trip to Hanoi. This should be deleted for future reviews. Beware of this.
For a budget trip 15$ for a room is a bit pricey but the quality was really good and the staff was really helpfull. Don't forget they earn a little bit on every trip you buy from them, but it is convinient. Included breakfast was ok - coffee, eggs, toasts and fruits. Be aware of a new name - Daisy Hotel, they have already changed the banner.
We had booked The camel City Hotel Hanoi 6 months in advance and arrived to be told our rooms were unavailable and moved to this hotel . We had little choice to except the change as it was late and we had children with us . The room was ok for 1 night , we would have extended our trip had the hotel been good .The bathrooms were tiny and mine had a really bad drainage smell The hotel is on a main road and very noisy . The staff were nice and this is the hotels only saving grace . The breakfast was easily the worst of our holiday and we stayed in many hotels We loved Hanoi but not the street that this hotel was on to be honest . For only a few dollars more there are much nicer hotels in the area .
Great room with all we needed for our 3 night stay in Hanoi. Staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this place. Was a little worried having read recent reviews but would completely disagree with all negative reviews read!
Stayed for five nights in all and wouldn't want to stay any longer,we were with six friends and had booked the rooms six months before with Booking.com,when we arrived the receptionist said that they hadn't got the rooms we had booked,(seemed to happen a lot in smaller hotels, they let the rooms to others),after some haggling we finally got our room at the front overlooking the narrow street which is a market and two meatshops right below window,it didn't bother us us but some it might. Our room hadn't a lot of space two big beds in it,so called balcony wasn't one at all. Bathroom not brilliant & small, little fridge in room, bed not as hard as some we had slept in but not really comfy.Clean towels at least every day. Breakfast was poor really, stuff in warmers wasn't warm at all, hardly any cutlery, usual choice of eggs, toast, jam & Pho (noodle soup),tiny kitchen area didn't look too special. Staff on the whole were very helpful, lift didn't always work. We really would not recommend, might be ok for people with low standards but not for us,not sure how it gets good reviews.…
