Myself and my girlfriend booked to stay here two nights and thought wow, great location and nice looking rooms. When we arrived the staff were lovely, and very welcoming! The lady at the reception was very friendly. However when we were brought to our room we were underwhelmed by the size, enough space either side of the bed for each person and a bathroom. There was no picture of this room on any booking site we looked at for obvious reasons and at €80 for 2 nights we expected a little more. The power also cut out twice, leaving us in darkness for some time. All in all the staff were friendly just very underwhelmed for the price payed and room size.

Overall our stay was ok - Breakfast staff were lovely. Our stay was spoilt by the fact we were stuck in the temperamental lift twice - once at 11:00pm of our first night and had to bang and yell for someone to come. Finally a young man came with a technician and was able to open the door. Not one word of apology or acknowledgement. In the morning we advised the Front Desk about this but heard nothing from any Manager. On departing the hotel I advised the Manager this sort of unfortunate happening should be acknowledged and he agreed and apologised. Overall it was a reasonable stay.

Best hotel I have stayed for the price that I paid. Location wise cannot be any better. Food and shops all around. The best Pho, Bun cha, Banh mi, desserts and even burgers are just a few steps away. Hotel staff were excellent and friendly. Rooms are relatively small but comfortable. All basic amenities available. Wifi fast. Hot water was good. Breakfast is limited but no complaints for the price you are paying. Rooms are not very sound proofed and the shower leaks water. Only minor problems. Otherwise, a really remarkable small hotel that puts many luxury hotels to shame.

The hotel is in a great location and our room was comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I organised transport to Sapa through the hotel and they only work with the better mini-bus operators, so all went really well. Hanoi traffic is full on and you need to take care when walking the narrow streets in the old town. The hotel was an oasis of calm, so highly recommended.

Stayed at the Oriental Central Hotel in Hanoi and could not of been more happy with our accommodations. The Hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter, the staff is wonderful and the free breakfast was excellent. Stayed in a room at the back of the hotel and also in a room in the front by the street. Both were great and surprising little noise from the street was heard. Would stay again and would highly recommend. Bill Vancouver, Canada
