Basic and comfortable rooms, located conveniently in the hub of old quarter Hanoi. The guy that runs this place is really helpful: - He went out of his way to seek feedback on the tours he'd booked for me (Scorpion Junk trip to Halong Bay which was good, and an amazing home-stay visit to Sapa). Also, after comparing prices with...

This hotel has nice enough rooms but the guys who run it are sneaky and try and get as much money out of you as possible. We stayed for just over a week and when it came to checking out they tried charging us for everything that was in the mini bar, so about 10 different drinks (which was actually...

Friendly Hotel is one of the cheapest options for staying in the center of the Old Quarter (the busiest and most vibrant part of Hanoi). Initially I stayed in a room on the top top floor which was a bit too exposed. There happened to be a thunder storm that night and could hear the corrugated iron on the outside...

Stayed on a couple of occasions in May. Rooms are very nice, with good bathroom, cable TV, free wifi and a fridge. The staff are extremely helpful; the best we have had on our two month trip. The tours/packages offered at the hotel are great value, the cheapest we have seen in Hanoi. Halong Bay and Sapa in particular were...

The hotel staff have great local knowledge and will share it with you if you ask. They are a family run business - very kind and warm hearted. They bought my friend a cake on hus birthday and we hung out together. Support Friendly Hotel!

We booked our trip to Halong Bay via Friendly Travel- they were extremely patient and looked up hundreds of options to find the perfect offer for us (we were travelling with 5 girls, not an easy one to please!). The boat trip to Halong Bay and the stay on a remote island were incredible for a superb price! After this...

From the first day we steeped in at the hotel, the staff help us with everything! We booked a tour to Halong Bay and the price was really good! We travel as backpackers so we need to stay on a low budget, so we asked if they had some hot water to the nudels in the morning, and that was...

You won't find a better bargain, or more helpful staff, in Vietnam. I make that assertion based on my 6 years here, during which I have had innumerable dealings with hotel and tourism staff. You cannot "go wrong" if you choose this hotel for your travel/lodging needs.
