The outstanding feature of this hotel is the people running it. Good English, friendly, and flexible. Great breakfast (thank My). The rooms themselves can be a bit spartan, especially on the bottom end of the scale and I would not recommend for an extended stay.
The hotel is very comfortable and close to centre. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cosy. Not luxury but good value for money. Ideal for travellers young and old. Thank for a pleasant stay for my first visit to Vietnam.
Staff are so helpful and rooms are very clean and well maintained. Huge bed! We were given a map and places to eat and drink so we knew exactly where to go. Location only 10 mins walk from Hoan Kiem lake! We had a late flight and bags were kept downstairs and watched by staff. Overall wonderful experience.
My boyfriend and I were so lucky for the amazing help by Vanessa - one of the receptionists from Old Town Hotel! She was very helpful with the planning of our trips, therefore made it very smooth for us at the beginning of our journey in Vietnam. Thanks to her, we first went on a hiking trip to Sa pa, then a boat ride in Halong Bay and finally made our way to Ninh Bình and Huê. She took a lot of time with counseling and helping us with every question! In addition to that, the hotel was nice and cozy. We were lucky to have a room towards the backyard so it was quiet throughout the night - in the center of old town Hanoi! Totally would recommend!
A great hotel. We were late arriving and they ushered us in with minimal fuss. Would definitely recommend them for a stay in Hanoi. Breakfast was good and the kids had plenty to eat. Bed was comfortable and the rooms were quiet.
