Pan Pacific Hanoi comes highly recommended for its exceptional service, with guests consistently lauding the staff's warmth and professionalism. The hotel's location is another highlight, offering easy access to both serenity and city attractions. Guests have called out the spacious and stylish rooms for their stunning views, though some suggest they could benefit from modernization. The range of amenities, including the Summit Bar and gym, add to the hotel's appeal, despite a few calls for updates. The atmosphere is often described as both elegant and contemporary, while the hotel's cleanliness receives widespread acclaim. While offering good value with luxury elements, a few guests find the pricing on the higher side.

As part of our Viking Mekong River cruise, we started our trip with a stay in Hanoi. I have stayed in other Pan Pacific hotels and previously considered them similar to a Marriott or Hilton. This particular Pan Pacific had exceptional service, may have to do with the fact that we were in Vietnam. Our room was very comfortable and had a great view of Truc Bach and West lakes. Was conveniently located close to the John McCain memorial. Viking arranged for the group of almost 80 to have a private breakfast buffet in Ming restaurant which was outstanding. Plenty of western choices as well as dim sum and other Asian breakfast items. The Pho was delicious. The hotel also exchanged dollars for Vietnamese Dong which was very convenient. We were also able to walk to a French Bistro called Fabrik's which was reached by walking across the bridge to the other side of Truc Back Lake.

We had a pleasant 3-night stay at the Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel in October 2024 during our family vacation in Vietnam.

Location: (7/10)
The hotel is located slightly outside the city center, around 2-3 km from the Old Quarter. While it's not in the heart of the action, the peaceful surroundings provide a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and transportation options are easily available.

Ambiance: (8/10)
The hotel’s ambiance is impressive, with a modern and sophisticated design. The contemporary decor and calm atmosphere make it a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Reception: (8/10)
The reception staff was warm and courteous, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in. Special thanks to Ms. My, who went above and beyond with her soft-spoken, helpful nature, making us feel welcome right from the start.

Rooms: (9/10)
We stayed in a Deluxe room with stunning views of both the lake and the city. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed, maximizing space and comfort. The bathroom was equally spacious and spotless, complete with a bathtub, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

Amenities: (8/10)
The hotel offers several amenities that enhance the guest experience, including a well-maintained swimming pool and a fully equipped gym. These facilities contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay, especially after exploring the city.

Dining: (8/10)
Pan Pacific Hanoi offers multiple dining options, and the breakfast spread was particularly impressive, with a wide selection of cuisines catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're craving local Vietnamese dishes or international fare, there's something for everyone.

Staff: (8/10)
The hotel staff was consistently courteous, attentive, and always willing to help, which contributed to the overall positive experience. Their service added a warm and personal touch to our stay.

Value for Money: (8/10)
Considering its spacious rooms, elegant ambiance, and attentive staff, the Pan Pacific Hanoi offers excellent value for money. The breakfast alone is worth highlighting for its variety and quality, and the peaceful location is perfect for those looking to unwind while still being close to the city’s main attractions.

Disappointments:
None that we can recall—our stay was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Finishing up our trip to Vietnam and our stay at the Pan Pacific in Hanoi. Our room was spotless and well appointed while the rest of the hotel felt “light”/airy and the facilities(spa/fitness center) were top notch. What makes the Pan Pacific standout is the hospitality and service of its staff. While every staff member we encountered was welcoming and eager to help, four members deserve special mention for their high level of service. Ms. My at the front desk went the extra mile to iron out a minor glitch/worked on a future reservation and Mr Dinh, the concierge, went out of his way in helping us get around and made the best food recommendations. Ms Tina and Ms Yen in the Pan Pacific Club were just so genuinely friendly, kind, and made us feel like family. It is so refreshing to stay in a place that makes you feel welcomed and to see folks who really enjoy their work. Can’t wait to come back to Vietnam and stay at the Pan Pacific Hanoi

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, the service is outstanding, and the hospitality is generous (very appreciated in a world where even water is not a given in many hotels. Every time I left my room someone cleaned up after me and left personal touches like keeping my slippers ready for when I got back and replacing empty water bottles. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the towels were luxurious and the console to control lights and temperature were easy and accessible. As a bonus, I was on the 14th floor with a breathtaking view of the lake and the city. I can honestly say that Pan Pacific Hanoi is one of the best places I've stayed.

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast selection was very excellent with all tastes catered for. We also ate in the restaurant at night, the seafood buffet was great, and in the lounge/bar too, thus was also good quality and tasty. Beds are very comfortable.

We used taxis to get to the old quarter which is a 30 -40 minute walk from the hotel but due to the number of scooters on and off the pavement it can be tricky to walk. The hotel was happy to order taxis for us, and they are not expensive (around ÂŁ3-ÂŁ4 ) Top tip if you use taxis to get back to the hotel go to a bar, buy a drink, and ask them to order one for you otherwise you may get ripped off, as some of our group did.

We didn’t venture to the pool area as it was covered, which is probably due to the high pollution in Hanoi. Air quality, generally, is not good due to the high numbers of scooters wizzing everywhere this is in no way a complaint directed at the hotel just an observation. Our room sometimes smelt damp on entering which I feel is due to the air conditioning possibly.

A safe 5-star choice for tourists seeking comfort during their vacation. Everything here is very neat, professional, and formal. The staff is gentle and attentive. One downside is the facilities; they seem to be quite old. However, the location is perfect for people like me who enjoy jogging. The air in this area is fresh, and the view overlooking the lake and the hotel’s swimming pool is pleasant. The soundproofing is quite good, allowing me to sleep well despite the street being busy even at night. Overall, it’s a safe choice if you just need a professional place to stay and rest after a trip to the mountains and forests.

I am a visitor to Vietnam for a friends big wedding. Club lounge access was perfect for someone like me. I was completely taken care off, all my reservations, plans, meetings, meals, drinks, workspace for remote working, language practice and even a severe ankle injury that I sustained on the streets of Hanoi. I had no need to ever leave my floor, in fact, I spent most of my stay in the club lounge and my room.

Pan Pacific was to be the beginning off a nearly 4 week stay in Vietnam. The club lounge staff did an amazing job in reintroducing me to Hanoi and they helped me practice my terrible Vietnamese. The service was very personable and they made me feel like part of a family, people I could trust and be myself around. I had a problem with my flights, and they called the airline for me. I had an injury, they provided ice on a regular basis. Together with the chef, they prepared lunch boxes with my favourite fruits, all peeled and sliced. They made me feel special.

Finally, although the hotel is aging, the club lounge is modern and sleek, with an unbeatable panoramic view of the West Lake. It is one of the few hotels in Hanoi (I have stayed in many), especially at its price point that is very well suited for the modern remote working traveler. It was important that I had a business environment that was both quiet and comfortable tor numerous online meetings. The look of the lounge was important so that in the meetings I did not have to blur the background, instead I showed it off. The only improvement I would like to see is the installation of some power points for laptops at a few of the tables.

I would also like to commend the cleaners for doing such an excellent job. Every time I came back to my room, it was always neat and done up, even when I wasn’t expecting it, multiple times a day. I was able to leave out my valuables, and everything was always safe.

I spoke at length with every member of staff in Club, particularly with My, Tuan and Tham. My Vietnamese was greatly improved with these three, I couldn’t ask for a better team, and I really mean the whole team. They were all very professional and personal when it was appropriate. Thank you.

One of the highlights of this stay was being able to host a group of people who were staying at the Intercontinental Westlake. They came to see me at Pan Pacific, because their 5 star hotel did not make them feel welcomed enough to host a Toast event for visitors. The Club Lounge at PP took care of that for me, and with little planning, we were able to enjoy a Yamazaki Whisky with views over Westlake, with a reasonable Corkage fee.

If you intend to stay in Hanoi for a long time, this is a great soft intro before diving deeper into the old quarter.

After a very long airline trip from Seattle, we arrived at this hotel with many many delightful features and a great location near West Lake. The hotel is 19 stories and over looks a beautiful part of the city. The glass elevators with gorgeous views or a particular delight. There are many small details about this hotel that made The stay very comfortable. For example, the bedside table contained a flashlight or torch, there were electrical outlets, and computer ports on both sides of the bed. There was a master control system for the lighting. The staff were very accommodating and warm like many people in Vietnam. The Ming restaurant in a hotel was absolutely wonderful both for the breakfast buffet as well as for lunch and dinner. The Health club was excellent. Although although there were some aspects of the hotel that might need updated, it was still one of the best facilities we have stayed in for a long time. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy Hanoi at its best.

Top class 5 star hotel with absolutely fabulous Concierge person (Male named Ha) who helped us organize 2 fabulous tours as soon as we asked.
The hotel itself was excellent and couldn't speak high enough of it
Rooms had everything required and the pool/bar areas top notch.
We also left 2 large travel bags in the Hotel whilst we travelled elsewhere (Ha Long Bay) for an overnighter before coming back here and was well organized.
Certainly if I ever went back to Vietnam I would stay here

The hotel is starting to show its age but compensated by the excellent service provided by the staff. Deserving special mention is Ms Linh in the club lounge who went out of her way to ensure all our needs were met. The club lounge offered a good variety of breakfast and evening food choices. The hotel whilst situated outside the old city, Grab cars were easily available and at a very reasonable price.
