I stayed in the Gondola on 3 separate occasions recently. The staff were lovely - very helpful and thoughtful. The rooms I stayed in were different each time and 2 of the 3 of them were very high quality. The other was good, but older.

Hotel is in quiet part of old town near lake. Hotel staff is almost not speaking english. We have been there two nights in exclusive room (window to lake). When we came to roome there was a rat (at 2 am morning) and they changed the room to lower level (without window). We expected some discount but we get apology...

Stayed 4 nights around New Year's Day. A bloc from the Lake and two blocs from the water puppet theater. My husband and and I both in the mid 70s could easily walk to the French Quarters as well as enjoy the Old Quarter. The reception and the support staff were very helpful and always with smiles. The hotel room...

Hotel is in a great location and walking distance to restaurants, markets and sites. The rooms were clean, wish there was a mirror in the bedroom area, there was only a mirror in the washroom and this makes getting ready with multiple people in the room difficult. Breakfast was ok but wish it had better quality breads. Staff were friendly.

Room was well kept and fairly modern, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was average, location was great. Easy access to Lake and Old Quarter, plus lots of food right outside hotel doors.

Excellent location close to the lake. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, clean rooms, large bathrooms. Our family of six stayed here three times in the end of December 2016. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was the least enjoyable hotel in our Vietnam tour. The worst part of it was the breakfast. The service was not good and the omelette I received had hair in it. The cook was constantly using her mobile phone and not concentrating on the food she was preparing. We didn't enjoy this hotel.

Stayed a couple nights at the hotel. Location is in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, so it's very central to the lake and surrounding sights. It's close by eateries (street types and restaurants). Rooms are above average, but I am not fussy. Toiletries are provided for in the toilets and it is generally clean. Downside is that the morning breakfast...
