The hotel is along a pedestrian street and you have to pull your luggage maybe about 20 metres, a bit inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage or it is raining. I think it has only just been converted to a pedestrian street, because our driver didn't know, discovered he couldn't turn in, made a U turn and stopped across the road, so that we had to drag our luggage and somehow cross two streets with the crazy Vietnamese traffic coming at us!!
The lobby was pleasant and decorated for Christmas, and the restaurant is right next to it but it's on a mezzanine so you have to climb a rather steep flight of stairs which could be inconvenient for elderly and impossible for those in wheelchairs. The rooms are a bit small and there is no place to unpack luggage, I ended up placing my suitcase on the bed to unpack. Otherwise I liked it that it was located in the Old Quarter, there are shops and eateries outside and you can see the locals going about their daily routines. The nicest thing was that at night the lanterns are lit over the street, which was very pretty. I would stay again.

We spent 7 nights at the Sky and they were the perfect start to our vacation. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with many options that varied each morning. There was always fresh fruit and a spread of local and western hot and cold items. After staying in several other hotels on this trip through SE Asia I have to say the Sky was our favorite.

Spent 3nights at Hanoi Sky and they were fantastic. This was booked through our Tour operator, Halong travel so unsure of the nightly price, but seemed great value. Location is amazing, so many restaurants on your doorstep and walking distance to all the main sights. When we returned from our Halong Bay cruise, they not only looked after our luggage but also had it waiting in our new room. Good selection at breakfast of Asian and Western food. Overall a great place to stay in Hanoi.

We had a suoerb night at the Sky bar on the roof top of the Peridot Hotel in Hanoi. Greeted warmly by Jenni and then looked after with delicious local cocktails which An and Chloe recommended and then took time to explain the history and ingredients. A must do if passing through on living in Hanoi

My family of 5 had three double rooms on level 3 of this hotel. It is a very average 3 star as far as the room and bathroom go. I had real issues with how thin the walls are. The man next door had his wife on speakerphone and I could hear every word she was saying. When he spoke it was like he was in our room. Luckily for us he was in bed with the TV off every night by 11pm.
The man on the door was so friendly and helpful. He took us about 20m to the end of the street to give us directions then got told off for doing that. The ladies on reception were really unhelpful and always grumpy.
There are so many hotels in Hanoi, I wouldn't stay here again.

We visited this hotel as part of a group tour. While the hotel was functional and comfortable enough, the breakfast option was really quite poor, with limited options and a very tight breakfast area, almost as if the whole concept was an afterthought.
On the plus side, the location was very good.

This hotel is well situated near the railway street and many local restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms are small but adequate, couldn’t fault the staff or amenities. Wifi is good as is the breakfast. I would stay again as it’s good for a 3 star hotel. The beds are hard, but I slept well.

Nice little hotel with very nice and efficient staff. The superior room was quite small but I didn't mind as I was staying solo. I like how the room is flooded with natural light. The bathroom is small but nice. Good water pressure and toiletries. Breakfast buffet is really good. Will stay here again.

The room was comfortable although not finished very well. Loose fitting etc… We only had breakfast one morning as the restaurant was very small and nowhere to sit. You are 3 mins to train street. We took Hanoi Back Street tours in a jeep which gave us a great overview of the city and local cultural gems. To be honest by this stage I am fed up of noodles and as you turn immediately right and walk a minute there is an Aussie bar called PUMU does great western food.

We stayed at Hanoi Sky for roughly 4 days over our time in Hanoi.
I have given them a 4/5 as the staff are awesome and helpful however the hotel itself is only 3 star worthy.
Location is great and close to all shops, markets and restaurants.
Price is fair and reasonable.
Rooms and bathrooms are all old fashioned and slightly outdated but look as displayed in all pictures.. yes they could use a renovating however all rooms that I stayed in were clean and spotless.
The overall convenience of the hotel was great!
