Great location to explore the old quarter, shopping for souvenirs and eat great food. This hotel, however, has seen its best days in the past. Major renovations are warranted. The room that we had though was spacious and fairly clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good but also needs a revamping. We were in another similar hotel in Hanoi and the breakfast was fresher and offered lots of fruit. This is a hotel for travelers who are not especially picky about quality.

This hotel is amazing. The staff really go out of their way for you. SometimesVietnam can be a little over whelming for you. Not here!!! They do everything they can for you - they really go out of their way. Lovely experience. Feels like a second home. After travelling the loop and I also went to ha long bay, I couldn't wait to see my second home! Andy, Ha & Tiep were simply amazing! Feeling very welcome and loved πŸ’– Now I travel to the south... I hope it will be just as good!

we visited Amanda hotels restaurant having dinner. Food was ok, just cooked, tasty and hot. We were quite astonished how people were smoking cigarettes under signs where smoking was strictly forbidden. Tre same people visited also restaurants refrigirator and took more beer from it for themselves. We were eating on the next table. We think that they were hotel staff who were not on duty at the moment. It was not nice to eat in smoke.

Wandered past and fancied something pizza like. Review is only for the restaurant not the hotel! Service was quick but the waitress was super moody. Pizza actually quite good. Water bit pricey - 15k for a small! Would be 3* based on this alone However main point of contention was the β€˜10% tax’ added to our bill. Never seen that in Vietnam so from me loses another star. What a shame. Would not recommend nor would I return

Every thing was in walking distance from the hotel, Our room was cleaned every day by very friendly staff. Across the road from the hotel is "Eddies" travel and he was just as helpful on places to see. The breakfast was very nice all though the coffee was toooo strong for me.
