We spent 1 night at Moon Garden homestay and it was a great experience. The room is a typical ancient house in the North of Vietnam with beautiful decoration. Every corner is well decored and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful especially mr Tung- homestay manager who is doing a great job at customer service Breakfast was good Check it out and you wont be disappointed
We went out to the Ky Son and experienced for the day all that the Moon Garden Homestay had to offer. We started with a Cooking class making spring rolls and beef wrapped in green leaves. Then for lunch including our items we made we had pumpkin soup, fried fish, rice with veggies and cukes and tomatoes in vinegar and oil. The meal was yummy and intimate in a large covered gathering space. After lunch we went for a bike ride to Duong Lam Village and its Sugarcane Temple and a 100 year Unesco old house. The house is used for tea, lunches and other get togethers. We then rode back to Moon Garden through the countryside and observed homes and farms along the way. We came back and were given a leg, foot and arm and hand massage and then were on our way back to Hanoi. A lovely way to spend the day outside of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.…
We couldn’t recommend this place enough! On arrival we were greeted with a refreshing drink before being shown to our room! During our stay we had a cooking class (of which we ate the food for lunch), a walk around the local village accompanied by our local guide where you get to experience the way of life in a Vietnamese countryside, a very relaxing hand massage and foot bath, fishing and also a bike ride through a very old village! We also got to wear traditional Vietnamese garments while listening to Buddhist prayer songs in the Pagoda which was a incredible thing to experience. Staff could not be faulted! If you want to experience Vietnam’s Countryside and way of life I could not recommend this place anymore.
What a magnificent 24 hours!! Immerse yourself into Vietnamese culture.. enjoy the tranquility and the food.. we were lucky as we were the only ones staying there, but it would be even better with others there... make sure you do the bike tour!! It was incredible.. the guide took us even to her house to meet her family!!! An amazing 3 hours.. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful place... just be prepared for the 6am radio playing!!! :)
This is the perfect place to start your adventure through Vietnam. After a long flight, journey out to the countryside (just outside of Hanoi) for a visit to this charming Homestay. It's the perfect introduction to the culture, cuisine, history and people of Vietnam. Make sure you stay for at least a night or two to experience all they offer - the cooking lesson, hand/foot massages, bike and/or walk through the village, etc. The owner of the property, Tung, will make sure you experience Vietnam with local flare. The property is gorgeous and as he expands, I can see this will soon be a destination for more than just a night or two.
