We have been through whole Vietnam and we never experienced this. We had hotels more than 2 times cheaper that looked like Taj mahal compered to this one. There were a lot of ants, room wasn't cleaned, dust everywhere and dead bugs.

Yes. I've seen many families with children staying there. They have a few family sized private rooms.

you could try bus No.17 from the airport off at the stop" Trần Nhật Duật"is not far from the hostel ( Google map measures 500m) if with heavy luggages just book an uber which is quite convenient and cheaper taxi in Hanoi... More
