This hotel locate on the most crowded street in Ha Noi. So easy to buy or eat sth. But they don't have private closet and woman and man sleep in same room. So I felt uncomfortable and unsafety, I didn't like it.

My fella and I booked a private dorm room here for three nights upon arrival at Huahin. I'm still trying to work out what happened to the bar and all of the lovely area that is in the previous reviews. This place is now called 'My Youth Hostel' and is above some sort of perfume shop and NOT a bar as previous meaning that there isnt actually a common area. The staff were helpful and the rooms and bathroom are clean, the location is fairly central from an exploring point of view. However, the central location means that there is constant noise (I'm talking jackhammer outside at 3.30am!) and the private dorms have the kind of 'doors' that are there to block out sight but there is in fact no privacy or shelter from the other dorms. Upon leaving at 6.30am we came downstairs to the owner asleep on the couch so I'm not sure what the story was there but it was a little odd to say the least. All in all, it served it's purpose but it was nice to move on and get some decent sleep.

Room is very clean, most of room in this hostel are dorm , but I am very interesting with the design, there is only 1 double room on the top, and I stayed in that room, location is near Night market and ancient town. Staff is very helpful , especially Ms Van Anh, she helped us a lot . Obviously we will come back to stay there when I travel to Hanoi

after staying in the funky jungle a couple of nights and being less than impressed with the receptionists there and party atmosphere. we decided to change to youth hostel around the corner. the price was good $13 for a private room but it's more of a semi private room as you have to walk in to other people's private rooms to get to the bathroom or to leave. beding and room where clean and sheets smelled fresh. the reason i liked the hostel so much was because of Vannessa (sorry don't remember your Vietnamese name). she helped us so many times from walking down the street to the overnight parking to talk to the locals to get us a fair price to going to the pharmacy when I was having a neck spasm and in a lot of pain. the other women selling bahn mi in the morning was also very nice always offering me fruit. The one thing that can be a little rough is that one the weekends it is very loud outside and there isn't much insulation to keep the noise out. if this brothers you, you should bring earplugs (pharmacy next door chargers the ridiculous price of 1 USD for 2 ear plugs) because the noise goes on until late on the weekend maybe 2-3am. we also slept in a dorm for a night which was $5usd and it was pretty Good, not much space in there as there are many beds but it is like a capsule so you have your own privacy. also there was no breakfast offered when we were here but there are so many cheap eats around I didn't mind.

I particularly found the staff to be easy to get along with and quite friendly. The rooming is quite nice and creatively structured. It reminds me of the Japanese capsule hotels to be honest... Which is pretty awesome!!........ Unless you're claustrophobic...... Lol
