Had a really long and frustrating trip to Vietnam and was smart enough to speak with the owner of Advisor Hotel about getting a private car to pick me up from the airport. The price isn't much more than a taxi and it's not worth the hassle of doing it any other way in Vietnam. The room was nice, clean... More

Had a really nice stay at Advisor Family Homestay. The whole family are so lovely and kind and I felt really looked after right from when I booked and received a welcome email. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to stay for the genuine hospitality and great location.

Good value for money. Friendly people. A nice base to land at and explore the old quarter. Mr Chien was very helpful in assisting me with finding certain places. A good place to go if you want to avoid noisy backpacker hostels.

I stayed with Chien and Quynh my second time through Hanoi after coming back from Sapa. I was really tired after getting no sleep on a night bus. They welcomed me with open arms and they have 3 beautiful children. Thank you so much for making me feel at home!

I would come back here in a heartbeat. Treated my daughter and I like royalty, safe and exciting location, great value for money. Chien and his wife were awesome hosts. Chien also made a number of travel arrangements for us including our great trip to Halong Bay, the junk boat and our stopover in Cat Ba Island. When we were... More

The two hotels are centrally located in the old quarter. Use a taxi or a local bicycle rickshaw to find the hotel for the first time as the streets are a little congested and bulging with buildings and people. The facilities are clean and tidy. The owners look after their quests well and you are treated like family. The hot... More

The family running the hotel are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. My boyfriend was badly ill on the day we were supposed to leave this hotel, but the owners were very accommodating and showed genuine care and concern for him. It's a small hotel with quite a few stairs, but great value. Our room was clean, comfy and had great... More

They are very accommodating owners. We didn't expect that the weather was to low that time of the year.We didn't bring heavy jackets and they lend us. How sweet is that? Price is very good. With heater and A/C at the same time. This was a late review. We went there Feb 2013.
