We stayed in the silver land yen hotel ho chi Minh city in march for five nights. Our executive double was lovely, clean and comfortable. I really liked the rooftop splash pool and bar area, great chill out or sunbathing space. Great two for one drink deals and barebacks excellent too. We particular ly enjoyed coming back to the hotel around four pm and having there afternoon tea. It was usually accompanied by music from the region played live. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. If we ever go back we'll stay there again. An oasis of peace in a busy busy, hot city.
I had booked this hotel based on pictures and reviews; both were far from the truth. The lobby was dirty with piles of stuff everywhere. The room was cold, noisy, stank of burnt paper, had decaying furniture and a foam-rubber mattress. We left. They tried to charge us for two nights; Agoda reduced that to one. The trip was rescued by a genuine hotel a few doors away.
We turned up and they’d double-booked our room so we had to wait around until they’d figured their cock-up out and then they ‘upgraded’ us whatever that was. If it was an upgrade, what the hell was the room we were supposed to be in like? The room was dirty and had a weird smell. The TV didn’t work at all even though the guy spent about 30 minutes trying to fix it before giving up and just walking out without saying anything. The WiFi was broken when we arrived. If it’s advertised as having it, and I pay for the room, I expect it to be as advertised and I expect the stuff to work. We went downstairs and I put the key on the desk and said checkout and the owner/manager said absolutely nothing. She knew exactly what was up. What the hell? Vietnamese Fawlty towers...
Been there a month ago for 5 nights. The hotel location is good, the room was just ok, no more, no less. First we arrived there, there were some problems with a/c, there was liquid dripping from it on our pillows, so we went to the reception and in 20 minutes the problem was sold, so it's great. There is a window(standard double room) and it can be opened, but it's just about 30 santimeters between the window and the wall of the other building(that is usual for SouthEast Asia) The staff is very friendly and very helpful! They arranged a tour to Halong bay for us(yes, the prices are not the cheapest in the city, but you should understand, that the prices that start from 25-29$ around the Old Quarter are the ones for the tour with the cheapest ferry and simpliest meal onboard(and anyways, the receptionists can offer you such cheap tours also)), and the other day we bought one-way tickets to Ninh Binh on the reception. The breakfast was very simple, just scrambled eggs/pancakes/omelette,etc. with toasts, but as we realized later during our trip to Vietnam it was common in almost every budget hotel, so in general the stay was good and we didn't have any problems with it.…
A little bit strange that they provide shampoo and such but not hand soap to wash your hands. The shower area was be stained dirty, from minerals in the water I think. No complimentary water. Small issues but I think if fixed it would make life easier for guests. Staff are super helpful. Lovely to chat with and have good ideas for activities. Room was spacious, bed comfy, shower pressure was good. Good location to explore Old Town. Will be going back twice more and that is fine with us. They sell water at the hotel cheaper than you can get outside on the street, in the markets, etc. Go see the show "My Village" if you can, very cool.
We stayed here on the 14th and 15th of February and booked a Sapa Trekking trip through this property for the 16th,17th, 18th. The accommodation itself was fine however I would not recommend that you book a trip through them as we were incredibly disappointed. We booked a 3 day 2 night trekking tour however the owner had told us that the night bus was sold out so instead we should get a morning bus and she assured us we could join the group by lunchtime. We were advised to be ready by 5.30am, so we were ready and waited until 7am to be picked up. When we arrived In Sapa we were collected and brought to the hotel and were left there for the afternoon. When we questioned this and asked to go and join the group they said no we would join them that evening. We were eventually brought to join the group at around 6pm so missed the entire first day of trekking. The trekking itself was more than 50% on concrete paths with people constantly trying to sell you things. To make things worse 2 of the other people in our group had booked through Central backpackers hostel and paid $30 less per person. We Informed the property a week ago of how disappointed we were and have heard nothing back. Absolutely do not recommend.…
The rooms are basic..... no in room safe, very old fashioned fittings... needs money spending on it..... But the staff are wonderful.... on top of their game, very pleasant, really hard working. Excellent at organising tours and then the other staff know what is going on..... so they keep you informed
There have many room and near the center town. Staff is very nice and kind. She help us for book the Sapa bus. There have a easy breskfast in the morning such as scamble egg and noddle, milk tea and coffee.
My son and I stayed twice at the hotel, when we arrived in Hanoi and again when we came back from a trip to the north. Oldish furniture, but clean with a wifi router in every room. For the price it was and excellent deal
Thank you so much for your booking but we just got wrong price there , not 50.000 đ , its is 500.000 VND . So please help me to changed other booking or I will keep the room you book with price :500.000 VND not 50.000, 很恶心，就是骗子，直接取消，即使50万盾我也可以接受，但不应该用这种预订之后改价格的卑劣手段，根本不敢去住，谁知道是不是会有更多欺诈乃至更恶劣的行为
