I have mixed feelings abou this hotel. It is well located, in the old quarter, near lots of restaurants, bars etc. Although in a noisy street, things seemed to quieten down by the time I went to bed, so didn't cause any problems for me. The room was pleasantly decorated and extremely clean - I can usually find some dirt in hotel rooms, but none here. On the negative side, too many things did not work. The safe didn't work when I checked in, it needed batteries to be replaced. The phone didn't work and was not fixed during my five night stay. The air conditioning worked well for two nights, then became ineffective (I'd given up reporting issues at this point). The hairdryer went on fire and was not replaced after I reported it. I was really annoyed by the lack of concern about this. The door to the room did not close without a bit of effort. The staff were very pleasant. Jenny(?) and the young man on reception had excellent English and were, therefore able to be very helpful. Other staff had much more limited English - this is not a complaint, as their English is a million times better than my Vietnamese, merely a comment. I had arranged tours through the hotel in advance. Although I paid for these on check-in, none seemed to get arranged without me specifically asking about them. I found this a little disappointing. Breakfast was all cooked to order and was a nice mix of local and western options. All in all, I have mixed views about this hotel. With just a bit more attention to maintenance, it could be great.

Friend David who was really kind to my family, kat always friendly. I can't remember the name, but the reception staff was always full of laughter. The room was modern, clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Very close to beer street. I will not forget your kindness. See you~~ ^ ^

We stayed here for our first 4 nights in Hanoi. Hotel arranged airport transfer which was perfect. After arriving jet lagged from UK the noise from the street outside (only on weekend) in the front room was too loud but the back of the hotel was fine. 2nd night we slept fine so may have just been the time difference! Staff were so courteous and helpful throughout. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Location is perfect for wandering the crazy old quarter streets. Rooms are lovely with good Air con. Would recommend.
