This place is very welcoming and warm by their so friendly team. I had a short stay just in 2 nights but this was a great time to be here. The room is clean with window, good breakfast, and moreover, a great team made this place unforgetable. Thanks for all!
We stayed here for 2 nights, and we loved it! The room was very nice and clean, there was air conditioning, great WiFi and the hostel has a very central location in the old quarter. The staff were so nice and helpful, especially Tom, and they even gave us the option to take a shower in one of the rooms the day after we were checked out. Such a nice hostel for a very low price! Would definitely recommend! 😊
I couldn't be happier about staying at this hotel. I mean it when I say the staff were super kind and helped us with everything they could. They are a travel agency aswell so we booked almost 100% of the buses we took with them at a very fair price (from 170.000-250.000 VND per pax). We used Hanoi as a "base", from Hanoi it is very easy to travel arround so what we did was HANOI-HA GIANG- HANOI- NINH BINH - HANOI- HALONG BAY- HANOI - MAI CHAU- HANOI. We stayed 5 different times in a month. Everything was very clean and the rooms are great (specially 401 - great views up there) But what I loved the most is that while we were away, in Ninh Binh for instance, we kept in touch with the staff in the hotel via WhatsApp and we could book buses and other stuff very fast and easily. We are going to miss you Tom and Tina, Roger and Mar…
Let me say first of all that this is a really lovely hostel, with a brilliant location in the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff are so kind. Our first impressions of the room were good, it seemed really clean and comfortable. If we had not of encountered our later problems I would have given this hostel a much higher review. We had booked to stay in this hostel for two nights, unfortunately on the first night at about 00.30 we found three live bedbugs crawling in the bed. We quickly packed all our stuff and went down to reception which is thankfully open 24hours. As it was so late at night we did not check out right away, we were given another room with the aim of addressing the problem in the morning. There didn’t seem to be a problem in this room but it’s hard to be 100% sure. The next morning we spoke to Tina about the situation at reception, she was so apologetic and helpful, I really cannot say anything bad about the staff. The hostel paid for all our clothing to be washed as a precaution, anything that couldn’t be washed we sealed in black bags and left out in the sun for the day. In the end we decided to check out early and not stay the second night, just not worth the risk. We were refunded for the first night without question. As I said before, this review is by no means an attack on this hostel, i would just hate if other people ended up having the same experience as us and I had don’t nothing to prevent it, I don’t believe the presence of bedbugs should be taken lightly. We were also told that this particular room would be fumigated, therefore it seems to be well managed.…
I booked Hanoi Golden Hostel for my 3-day Hanoi Solo Trip for the reason that it is budget friendly within the Old Quarter area and just a few minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. But, I was very amazed with the friendly staff and clean rooms. Though they dont have an elevator and my room was on the 4th floor, it was not a problem because they were very helpful. I arrived in Noi Bai Airport late, around 2am but they provided a private vehicle for me for a very reasonable price. I forgot to ask for the driver's name but he was very patient and even waited for me for an hour after I got lost at the airport looking for the small klook station. Special shoutout to Tina and Henry who helped a lot on giving maps and tips to a person like me who can't even read and interpret a simple map 😂. Also, you wont have a hard time communicating because they speak English well. …
I had a great stay here. No complaints. Everything in my room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. And the location was perfect. Right in downtown. They also had snacks and coffee for free which was nice since I didn't have to go out in the morning to get coffee. Thank you!
Perfect place to explore Hanoi. Staff was very helpful, rooms nice and clean.. You can reach almost every sight by foot... Nearby there are a lot of street food options, restaurants, pubs and bars... And shops for everything you can imagine.. Top!!
Nice clean hotel in a centre of old quarter. Staff were amazing, helped us with food suggestions and a map of the city and a plan to see the main sights on foot in one day. Free tea, coffee and fruit which is also nice. Would highly recommend.
Very well located in the old quarter. Close to the bus stop from airport and 10 minutes close to bus station to go to airport . The rooms are very clean. In fact, the cleanest we stayed in Vietnam. The rooms in the back with no window are very quiet and perfect to have a rest. The ones in the front are noisier as everyone beeps and horns in Vietnam. The staff working is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Phuong and also to Amy. We booked a trip to Sapa, Nin Binh and a two night cruise to Ha Long Bay with them and everything went very well. You feel like at home because the staff is very warm and welcoming. In fact, the friendliest in Vietnam.
