The hotel is rather dated and the rooms smaller than expected. We went on a flight/hotel package and weren't able to request a room due to the deal so were a bit disappointed that the room smelled of cigarette smoke. However, apart from that the room was clean and well appointed.
We were on the side facing the lake. Unfortunately, local people gathered here from 5am to 6am to do some kind of dance exercise and we were woken every morning by the bass boom! Not the fault of the hotel, but might be worth requesting a room on the other side if you are sensitive to noise.
Breakfast was amazing! lots of choice, both Western and Vietnamese and efficient, attentive service.
On our last day, our airport pickup never turned up and the staff were super helpful in finding us alternative transport.
All in all, a pleasant stay in a nice location, if a little far from the old town and main attractions.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Enough to do within the building. Casino; Spa; massage; KTV; fine dinning and casual dining.
Lots of eatery within walking distance. Located right by a small man-made lake.
Room decors are basic but comfortable. A little dated but spacious.
Price is mid range and reasonable. Currency exchange rate is fair and convenient.
Will stay here again if I visit Hanoi again.

Booked Deluxe Cityview room through Agoda at MYR343 per night. The hotel is about VND330k taxi fare or 30 minutes from Hanoi Airport. The doorman/lady are very attentive and gave a warm welcome and advice anytime. The front desk ladies are equally friendly and gave a very fast and smooth check in/out service. Had a nice surprise from Agoda during check in - a free massage voucher in the hotel spa! That's a lovely gesture.
The room is just average size, not too small but not spacious either. There is the usual amneties, fridge and kettle. Cloth iron is only available upon request. The complimentary internet is pretty fast here. The decor is however very old - really feel like an old Chinese hotel.
The hotel location is a bit far from Old Quarters (VND56k taxi fare) and other tourist spots. There is no halal restaurant within walking distants too.
I think the price is a bit expensive for the quality of the room and location.

It’s the worst casino I ever visit.
Sometimes I win and they said they out of money and can not pay back the winning amount.
On 10th May night I pay there and paid by my card, after that I won and I asked to put back in my account, they given me one receipt and said they canceled amount, it’s already one week and I didn’t got it back, I spoke to their bank(BIDV) and bank said it’s not canceled and not cut from their account to pay me back. Still they are saying that they deposited. I am stuck, it’s 3090 Usd.
I will never recommend this to any of my friend.

Don't book this place. It's dated. Poor location (not located in old town area). Not worth the money. Overpriced. You can get a better hotel for this price in a better area. Really depressing inside. Staff were very friendly and helpful though. Breakfast was great. Probably the only good point. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel!

I stayed at this hotel for one night for my business for the first time as it was close to my business venue (this was actually the only reason I had to choose this hotel). As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a very very old hotel. To be precise, the hotel has two buildings, old wing and new wing -- my room was in the old wing.

I made my reservation directly with the hotel, and their best offer for the cheapest city-view room was around USD100++ (they said the new wing is at least USD 120++). Well, not much to complain during my stay, but for all these old rooms and facilities, I think the hotel is not worth the price -- I would pay max USD 50 for the room I was given. For the same price, you can have much newer and nicer places easily in Hanoi.

As I mentioned, I had not much to complain though. The room size was ok, room facilities were old but well maintained (though one lump did not work as power cable was broken), decent breakfast, and fair staff service. BUT, overall, old atmosphere of this hotel made me think if I made a right choice.

My only major issue in the room was the power outlet. The room had mixed power plug types at the same time, and it was very difficult to find a power outlet that suited my laptop. I asked a power adapter for my laptop, but it took around 30 mins to reach my room.

If you are looking at this hotel, I would recommend you either (1) to have nice value-for-price hotels (USD 30-60) in old quarter in Hoan Kiem District such as Essence Hotel, Elegance Hotels, Moment Hotels, etc., or (2) to pay extra USD 20-30 to stay in 5-star hotels in Tay Ho or other areas such as Intercontinental West Lake.

We stayed here for three nights 🌃🌃🌃 and we find it irresistible. The hotel has upgraded the room of ours to a one-bedroom suite with a family room in the suite. Room is large enough and the bed is comfortable 😴😴
The buffet breakfast was delicious and enormous! All of the pastries were freshly baked 🥞🥣🍳

When you'd love a Chinese home base in Hanoi, Hanoi is the go to area. In fact, the foundation of theirs feels as in case the Chinese foundation of mine. Hanoi is very cheap and the program of theirs is first rate. Do not forget to also join Casino:). You will not regret it!

We remained there for a few days. A very great hotel according to the charges they offer.
They have two three Chinese along with Vietnamese places and each is very good.
They've a fantastic spot and many of the markets and shops are near to it.
Large rooms and free wifi. Great selection of restaurants in a lot and the hotel to see nearby. Staff was friendly and also accommodating. Walking distance to a lot of Hanoi's great attractions.
