My lovely wife and I spent two nights in this hotel when visiting Halong Bay. It's located a few minutes walk from where the bus drops you off in Bai Chay, a short taxi ride from the heart of the action. We took a Grab downtown and it only cost around ₫60,000 each way. Pretty cheap, especially as the room rates are much lower out of town. We paid just ₫400,000 a night for a deluxe double room though you'll pay more in peak season. The hotel itself is modern, clean and comfortable. The rooms are quite stylishly done with the massive pictures of Halong Bay adding a nice touch. The hotel is quite new so as you'd expect everything is in good condition and works well. The bed was nice & comfy and the shower piping hot. It was very quiet and I slept well... not sure that would necessarily be the case downtown. Breakfast on the first morning was rather disappointing. Greasy fried eggs, bread and a bit of watermelon. We asked them to make us some noodles for the second morning and that was a much better way to start the day. We booked a one day tour of the bay via the hotel. It cost ₫800,000 each including entry fees, lunch and kayaking. It was an enjoyable day even though it was a bit grey and damp. The scenery is stunning. Other people on the boat had paid more for the same trip so I think it's a pretty good deal. The hotel also offers laundry services which are reasonable value at ₫30,000 per kg. When it was time to checkout they told us their credit card machine was broken and we had to pay in cash. How many times have I heard that one? So frustrating when places say they accept credit cards and then trot out the same old story. Make sure you bring enough cash or you'll need to make a trip to the nearest ATM which is about ten minutes walk away. …
I was looking for a hotel that was within walking distance from the Railway station. I found the hotel to be convenient to the station and the city. I had large room with a view toward the mountains. very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was included, eggs and toast.
I had a great time staying at Hera Hotel. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. The staff especially Ms. Phuong we're so friendly and helpful. I will come back to Hera Hotel next time I am in Ha Long!
i stayed here with my friend last weekend for 2 night and we was very happy with our stay. the room is big and nice view. very clean. breakfast was great and staff was excellent. recommended this hotel.
The hotel was new, it is located quite near to the bus stop. The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean and good. The hotel is located quite far from centre so you need a taxi or a scooter. The provided day tour is very good.
