However this has 4 stars is beyond me. They can only be based on the gardens and the view. Our rooms were shabby and damp. The breakfast was poor and the restaurant smelled like an old canteen. We had wood worm shavings on our pillows upon arrival and they kept appearing. The hotel needs a complete revamp. The pond was...

A resort close to the beach and away from the night life. It's hidden inside the town and if you're unfamiliar with the location, you wouldn't find it. It's not one of the best beaches that Phuket has to offer. If you want solitude and peace, this would be ideal for you. The resort has two restaurants and pools. It...

Nice big pool, good breakfast that was topped up after the rush. right on the beach, nice big pool and a smaller one too. rooms a little tired but for the price we didn't mind. Only thing is its a little bit on its own and the only way to get to BangTao shops is to walk on the beach...

Great position on the beach and not a large resort . Value for money if your not after going out every night in patong etc as taxi's will soon mount up . Beautiful beach front and some nice restaurants within walking distance up the beach too . Only moan would be the air-con even if you turn yours off you...

The photos are very deceiving. This place seemed like it was a great resort 30 years ago and haven't upgraded since. Once we arrived (3 of us) we were greeted which fresh hand towels and big welcoming smiles. However that all changed when we said we're adding a person (it was originally just two). Their attitudes quickly flipped. They became...

Clearly, this was once a very smart and popular hotel. The gardens are generally well kept and the buildings are in fair condition. However, it would seem that the 4-star rating is outdated ... The rooms are clean and comfortable but the decor and paintwork is looking tired and needs refreshing. Amenities ... The shop is not very well stocked...

We moved from the Best Western which is just down the beach because we decided we wanted to stay longer in Bang Tao Beach and the Best Western was full. So the Amora was very disappointing after the Best western. In the restaurant near the beach I ordered a thai dish and asked for it not to be too spicy,but...

If you like ditsy piped music and garish Christmas lights; no free wi fi in the room and continually dropping wi fi in the cafe; demoralised, sullen staff; setting your own table and getting your own coffee at the restaurant; soggy tasteless pre-cooked breakfast offerings; hard thin mattresses akin to camp beds; stray dogs roaming the grounds outside the ground...
