My 3rd consecutive visit to the Hideaway was as good as my first - so top marks for consistency. English-owned and managed by Andy, who is on-site to welcome you and deal with any questions or issues. He leads a team of hard-working & efficient staff, many of whom have become friendly, familiar faces over recent years. The rooms are modern, large & clean with en-suite and all "mod cons". Prices are competitive. The Hideaway has the facilities and standards of a good 3 or 4 star hotel, but the informal friendliness of a guest house. The bar area downstairs offers the chance to meet and socialise with other guests and locals over a cold beer or the pool table. After a night out in nearby Soi LK Metro, Treetown, New Plaza or Soi Made in Thailand, you are just a few minutes walk home, as the Hideaway is just off Soi Buakhao. You get the benefit of being close to all the amenities/action, but 100 yards off the main road, so a much quieter location. And if you want to get to Beach Road, the "cut through" to The Avenue Shopping Centre allows you to do this with a 5 minute walk. Highly recommended for a short break/holiday stay. PRO TIP: the on-site "Ribshack" restaurant serves delicious Thai food, ribs & grills etc and one of the best Full English Breakfasts in Pattaya.

I have been eating breakfast here this week - very good. But yesterday I ordered my usual two bolied eggs in Thai (my Thai wife confirmed I said it correctly) The waitress snapped ‘what do you want soup - speak English’ !!! So very rude speaking to a customer like this. I noticed this same waitress was rude to another customer who asked for cutlery - she told the customer to find it himself on another table What is it with this girl ? If this was my business I would kick her out without hesitating

We have a very hard working staff who are considered very polite by most customers. I am sorry that she didn't understand your spoken Thai. I will obviously look into this, but would recommend that you order in English.

It's the place for us to go, we love here! After 2 years we continuously come here for a snack, a few drinks and also the relaxing vibe. As always the owner will take time to say hello to you, the staff are all super friendly and helpful where needed! There are various events held here which can usually be found on another social media page so find it give it a like and see what's happening when you are around these parts. A new rub shack has been added since my last review, this caters for food and has a better variety of food available, including ofcourse ribs... A bustling little place that has something for everyone from accommodation, food, and activities. Certainly a place we will continue to visit being afternoon or evening and a place worth visiting if you want a relaxed atmosphere.
