I stayed here for 3 weeks in a garden view room. The rooms are an excellent size with modern amenities and no higher than 3 floors (or 4 in Thai terms) but note in some the shower is in a bath and that may be an issue for some (wet bathroom floor) including me. Other rooms just have a shower and no bath. The pool area and grounds are quite magnificent. As a daily swimmer for exercise the c40m pool is as good as it gets. Perfect temperature, crystal clear, and the chlorine and pH levels are monitored and recorded for guests to see. The gardens incorporate a mature lake and just wandering round is often a feast to the eyes. Clearly a tremendous amount of effort has gone into the setting. The breakfast room is really nice and the quality and comprehensive options for many cuisines top quality. The fresh pastries are wonderful with little touches that make all the difference. Many of the breakfast staff were exceptional friendly and chatty. One day I was very surprised to be told that I couldn't take a pastry to my room when I was still sitting in my seat. Rather than complaining I said nothing. The next day the person was overtly friendly but damage done. The location is very central and no more than a 10 minute walk from most areas you are liable to want to go. I had seen and eaten in the hotel before but never stayed, but this will be my No 1 choice for my next visit.

I have just had another very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Avani Pattaya resort. I am a great believer in the staff at a hotel can often make or break the success of the hotel, and I can confidently say that there are many great aspects to the Avani Pattaya resort, but it is the wonderful staff that significantly contribute to making this hotel the fabulous place it is and in my opinion one of , if not the best hotel in Pattaya.
The location is ideal, situated across Beach Rd from Pattaya beach which can be accessed directly from an walkway entrance, or the main entrance is located on Second Rd. The lobby area is large, open and welcoming, there are so many fabulous staff from the concierge team who assist with your luggage, to the friendly, professional reception staff, to all the wonderful staff who work in the numerous restaurants located in the hotel. However I would like to call out and compliment Jib and Lily in the housekeeping team who ensured my suite was always spotlessly clean and well stocked with complimentary water, and the turn down service of an evening where they would always leave a little treat such as chocolate or cookies on my bed was always nice to return to from being out in the evening. The housekeeping team work hard often under time pressures and I want to say thank you, your hard work was appreciated. There is a large pool within the resort, that has plenty of sun lounges and umbrellas and the pool itself is always clean and a nice place to relax and stay cool during the warm days. There is a great pool bar where you can enjoy various delicious Thai or Western food and afternoon cocktails where there is a happy hour each day.
Avani is the only place I stay when I holiday in Pattaya and thoroughly recommend staying there. Yes it is a little more expensive than other hotels, however I believe you pay for what you get, and in my opinion it is well worth it, and at Avani Pattaya resort you will have a relaxing and enjoyable stay each and every time.

What can you say when you've visited the hotel dozens of times and spent 100s of days there ? The last trip was 58 nights.
I know the hotel from many years ago of course but whilst it has been updated and modernised, the tropical feeling has never left and sitting by the pool or in the bar you cannot actually believe that you are between two very busy streets. There is no noise.
A swim up bar makes a lazy afternoon an enjoyable experience and sets the hotel apart from its rivals. Nowhere in the area does it this well.
The rooms are modern, comfortable beds, great technology and fantastic showers plus being of an older generation, they are much larger than modern rooms, a feeling of space that echoes throughout the hotel and one which you simply don't get in newer hotels where space costs so much more and is much more densified.
Breakfast has everything you can ask for but I keep missing my favourite yellow curry ! I just don't eat breakfast every day.
Room service is excellent but their in room menu is limited. However, they can do everything on the restaurant menu which you can download and they can often cater to special things, especially if Thai; I often ask for larb moo which they do very well.
Pricing is usually very good but can sometimes get a little silly. However, this is only because they offer it so very well priced normally that an occasional higher price seems "more".
If I was going to go back to living in hotels and I was in Pattaya, I would go back to living here.

even if the hotel seems old the quality of service raises the level. a big thank you to the lady (DAO or DOA) who took care of cleaning our room, who was very kind and efficient (our room was always clean); the night team is also to be thanked for their seriousness and kindness (especially when a miscreant like me who was partying makes an unjustified remark to them and the receptionist keeps smiling, the lady to whom I apologized on the following evening, January 5). the room is spacious and the view from the balcony is fantastic overlooking the sea and the swimming pool; a large, clean swimming pool with staff always ready to help you (in particular to find you a deckchair which are rare because they are always occupied or "reserved" by people who leave their sunscreen oil on the deckchair and who do not come for an hour) . the hotel is well located in the center of Pattaya and near the shopping center. the only negative point is the breakfast: there was only one coffee machine and the dishes were not very interesting apart from the egg stations with friendly cooks who cooked good preparations; the pastries and bread were nothing more. remember to leave one of your belongings on your place, because installed for 5 minutes, I went to the toilet and when I came back my place was cleared of my unfinished eggs and coffee! and not an excuse of course, and to ask for another place, so I only went there once in 5 nights even if I had paid for them.
Apart from this breakfast mishap it is a good hotel and very helpful staff

I have stayed at Avani Pattaya many times and as my previous reviews have said, this resort consistently proves to be in my opinion the best place to enjoy your stay in Pattaya.
What makes a good resort/hotel, having stayed at many hotel/resorts throughout various parts of the world over many years of travelling for both holidays and business in my opinion several key factors, they are in no particular order : (1) good location, (2) good amenities, (3) fabulous professional and friendly staff and (4) a clean, comfortable and relaxing environment.
Avani Pattaya has all of these things and more, the staff really make the resort the fabulous place it is, everyone from the moment you step out of your car and are greeted from the helpful concierge team to when you check in with the friendly professional reception staff, to appreciating having a spotlessly clean room every day due to the hard work of the housekeeping team, to enjoying the relaxing environment laying by one of, if not the best pools in Pattaya, to relaxing and enjoying a meal and drinks in one of the numerous restaurants, to when you eventually and reluctantly have to step back in your car to go home everyone makes you feel relaxed, welcomed and most important of all appreciated as a guest of the resort.
Do yourself a favour, if you are thinking of holidaying in Pattaya, book one of the many and varied wonderful rooms at Avani, and from my many experiences there, you will not regret it and like me most likely will want to come back time and time again.

Everything here is luxurious. The garden room was spacious and quiet with an incredibly comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast is substantial and many daily changes are made. Wi-Fi is strong and dependable wherever you are. The staff are unfailingly pleasant and obliging. The room rates are excellent in early September but they do seem to spike later in the month. Our room cleaner Waen even left a small handwritten note which was a nice touch. 10 minute walk to Walking Street and LK Metro. Two small niggles - sometimes the room was not cleaned until 4.15 which really is a bit late. The other bigger niggle was that I tried to book another week and was told I couldn’t stay in the same room and had to pay for a more expensive room. This proved to be 100% wrong by which time I had made a booking at another hotel. That said the reception staff were very apologetic and it did not spoil things massively, except I would have liked another week.

I have to admit that I was very surprised by this Avani resort right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Pattaya on Beach road. I've stayed at several other high star resorts in Pattaya and this place has the best "resort feel" if you want to be along Beach road. All the rooms either face their fabulous gardens or have ocean views so no one has a bad view. For the money, I also found this to be a reasonable choice as the Avani brands are always high quality. The breakfast was excellent with the widest assortment of food but what set apart was when a Benihana chef would fix grilled chicken or pork as part of the breakfast. Try and find that somewhere else if you are a Benihana fan. I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised by the pool and garden area and will want to hang out there during the day instead of with the crowds along the beach. A perfect location and high quality service makes it a great place everyone should consider. Also highly recommend becoming a GHA Discover Member which Avani is part of. It is free and offers benefits from the outset. Why not join?
