stayed at queen victoria in January 2017. Excellent place. very courteous and friendly staff. No joiner fee. Perfect place to stay for a solo traveler.
For sure I'll be staying here again for my next trip in June 2017
We'll run and right in the middle of Hookersville this olde English themed pub is a cockney oasis amid the thai curry and papaya salad. I thoroughly recommend the plougmans lunch complete with pork pie and branston pickles.
Well done guys!

I stayed at the Vic last year. I too enjoy the balcony factor. Balconies facing the Soi are not big but comfortable with seats. It's interesting to watch the goings on in Soi 6 from above. Especially after dark. However my only criticism is the fact that the aircon unit is out there with you, and if its on, will blast you with hot air. Not very pleasant in an already warm and muggy environment. I'd just turn it off for the duration of my balcony stays. Hope this helps :)
