A family naturist village in the country just outside of Sattahip, Thailand, 17 km drive from Pattaya to this oasis of family naturism. We are not a clothing optional place, we are a totally naturist village. Five simple bungalows, four 2 bedroom villas and a large swimming pool with a waterfall surrounded by palm trees, can you imagine a more peaceful setting? The atmosphere is a like staying with family or close friends and that is what Phuan means in Thai…friend. There is always something to do or not do. There are many cultural venues nearby if that is what you are looking for. Perhaps you just want to lie by the pool soak up the sun and maybe read a book. Our pool is 17 meters (55 feet) by average of 7 meters (30 feet) Great for all types of swimming. Or if you want to be more social we have a pool table and other games. We enjoyed a lovely week (15-23 Feb) at Phuan Resort. We were made to feel very welcome by Jai and Bruce, their staff and the other guests. The accommodation was very comfortable with large beds and good storage for clothes etc. The food and drink were good, especially the coffee. (For those wanting beer, there is a choice). The pool was lovely, surrounded by palm trees and the pool beds were plentiful and comfortable. The village is only a short walk away and the Saturday Chinese Market was particularly worth a visit. We were able to hire a motor scooter at low cost which gave us the freedom to visit Pattaya (about 45 mins), the local golf Club for good value dinner and beaches and 7-11 etc. The taxi organised by Bruce to and from Bangkok airport was an excellent service taking about 2 hrs - good value and service.

Seamless travel from Bangkok 8:30am by bus, we reached Phuan at 12:30pm on 12 Feb. It was great to meet my friends (phuan) Bruce and Jai after 6 years! Phuan was indeed a nice & beautiful naturist village ... the bungalows and villas were neatly laid out with the swimming pool at the centre. We relaxed and laid on the deck chairs, sun-tanning, read a book and swam in the pool during our 3 nights stay ... delighted and happy. Met some friendly naturists particularly Don (thank you), we shall keep in touch yeah. The staff were super friendly, kind & hospitable. Asian & Thai food were superb and delicious while Asian, American or Thai breakfast was included in the room rates. The food variety and spread could be improved though, eg. Western food. Jai was especially kind and helpful to help treat and bandage my friend's wounds 3 times which I really appreciated. We enjoyed our stay very much and would surely visit again. We strongly recommend Phuan to all naturists visiting Pattaya.

We returned for an extended stay at Phuan this year because we enjoyed it so much last year. Obliviously others did as well as we met many friends again that were there last year, it’s like a family and friends reunion. The villas, which we stayed in are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food/menu, although not extensive, is excellent and very tasty and reasonably priced. The pool area is one of the best we have been to in Thailand. Jai and her team make you feel like friends rather than guests and we love the atmosphere of Phuan, which in Thai means Friend, say no more. For a relaxing naturist holiday you cannot get any better, as endorsed by friends and ourself who will be back next year.

Jai is the friendly manager of this cosy little naturist resort. She and her Thai staff make you welcome, adding a personal touch compared to bigger accomodations. - To get there, go by taxi from Bangkok Airport (1.5 hours, 1500 Baht) or from Pattaya airport (much shorter, but harder for foreigners to land there). They have a preferred taxi lady who drives safe and knows the roads. She also takes you to Jomtien Beach or Pattaya City for a day break. - The big garden hosts about 5 small wooden bungalows and 6 large stone villas, the latter you rent a bedroom in so you might have to share the living room, kitchen and bathroom with 1 other guest / couple. But there were no other guests in this particular villa I rented. I moved there from a bungalow since that one had no windows and the traffic noise was too much for me at night. I had to pay 500 Baht per night extra for the (shared but not shared) villa. - The pool is where the guests are during most of the day. The pool chairs with cushions are comfortable enough, and with palm trees you can get the shade. Near the pool are toilets and a small wooden sauna. - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner can be had also near the pool. The menu is very limited and has no western food except for American breakfast and a sandwich. Sometimes it's pizza night and all guests sit together. Pizza's are delivered from Pattaya and must be pre-ordered. You keep your own tab for drinks you take from the fridge, which adds to the charm. Coffee, tea and bananas are for free. - In my villa, the toilet didn't flush well, had to be repaired twice. Some guests who were staying for many weeks here, became part of the staff by helping out with some improvements and maintenance. - Guests during my stay of 7 days were both westerners (UK, Netherlands, France, Australia) as well as Asians (Thai, Malay). All friendly naturists and easy-going. Less welcome guests: Mosquitos are around during sunset, so bring repellent or sit under the fan of the dining area. - Be aware that there is not much to do, neither at the resort nor in the vicinity. It takes a rental car or taxi to go to the beach or Pattaya for entertainment. Overall: Nice to have been here for a week.

We were contemplating for the longest time before we braved ourselves and went ahead to visit this resort. But we never regret. The resort itself is quite remote, we lost our way when we drove there. Once we reached, we did hesitate whether of not we should set foot in the resort but eventually we did and we never regret. Initially we wanted a day pass as we can’t decide if we will be comfortable going nude. but as we step in, there were 2 other couples at the cafe area, Nude, they greeted us with a smile as we went for our registration. subsequently, we decide to get ourselves a bungalow so we can chill in. The premises is big, with a nice pool enough for at least 5-6 couples.. Initially my wife was kinda shy but after pop down a bottle of Beer, we get naked and join the other few naturist at the pool. After another few bottles of beer, we braven up and even sit at the cafe and enjoy a good meal. Everybody there are friendly, regardless couple of single male naturist. They give us the privacy and didn’t gave us a uncomfortable stare.. Although we had a bungalow but we left the resort in the evening as we need to pick up our kids. It was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back again.

My wife and I stayed at this resort for 4 nights in one of the shared villas. The accommodations were great, very clean and well maintained. The restaurant food is good with nice sized portions and they offer cold beer on site. The only glitch we ran into was they don't accept credit cards at the resort and had to walk down to the golf course to withdraw cash from a bank machine there to pay for our room and meals. It wasn't a big deal but it's worth mentioning.
