There are pros and cons at Baraquda Pattaya, however, I decided to rate it excellent mainly due to its potential and amazing service. Starting with the pros, the service here was exceptional, especially for Khun KF at the Front Desk. She was the one taking care of us from reservation until check-out. Other Front Office and Housekeeping staffs were also very nice and helpful. The location was pretty good, being only one block away from the Pattaya Beach. The room and other facilities were also nice (renovation would be great though). The breakfast, however, was a bit lacking. The menu was quite limited and the staff there seemed a bit confused. And as mentioned, the rooms and other facilities needed a bit of renovation. Apart from that, we were very happy with our stay. I believe that once the COVID crisis is gone back to its original full-time operation, Baraquda can be considered to be one of the best hotels in Pattaya. Another round of kudos for Khun KF. Again, thank you very much for your wonderful service.

all staff were very friendly and attentive despite the hardship of Corona. However we do did not understand, why management made the stay so unpleasant. We had to take breakfast in the room, where there was no appropriate table and seating. Very poor! Also welcome drink, that we are entitled as Platinum Members were only poor Softdrinks.

Professional check-in, no luggage service (covid = fine). Huge, really huge rooms! Very good complimentary coffee. Cool design and very nice led lighting around the bed. Good cleanliness, comfortable bed. Very good a'la carte breakfast: cold food chilled, hot food hot and delivered on time. Not a usual experience in these parts of the world. Only one minor negative: I gave up filling up the jacuzzi after a while. I would be still sitting on the edge with my feet in 2 inches of water until now - with such a low water pressure. Oh, and no Heineken available. But over all, this hotel is great value for money paid.

I stayed quite a few times at Baraquda during my stays in Pattaya over the last years. I fully understand the changes due to COVID emergency but nevertheless there were quite a few issues during my 4 day stay. As Platinum member I was upgraded to Suites for both my rooms as I was travelling with family (not always available in the past). Nearly all the staff I used to know (my last stay back in February) was changed. I really did feel any recognition as loyal customer. The rooms are getting old and present some problems in particular with water leakage in the room from air con system. The mattras of room 5006 needs to be changed. Bad experience also with Breakfast. I understand the COVID emergency imposed changes but that does not justify the mould I found in my scrambled eggs. They were probably just cooked but the egg preparation was definately much older. I hope things will get back to usual high standards Baraquda offered in the past once the emergency will be over.

The Hotel Baraquda, Pattaya is a pretty decent hotel. The staff are really very helpful and seem to enjoy helping guests. The location is good, with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Its also quick walk to the Ripley's museum. My room was comfortable. The bathroom is a little open for my taste. Most disappointing is the view out from the room. From my room the view is of a high wall. I think is next to a shopping mall. I think the hotel could improve the view somehow, maybe commission a mural or make it into a living wall. I must say the hotel was really helpful in arranging the transfer from Bangkok to Pattaya. Because of the delay in my flight I missed my connection from Hong Kong to Bangkok. The airline arranged a new flight which ended up being changed twice, so the hotel had to change my pick up time at Bangkok a few times. This was really appreciated.
