A warm welcome to MARINE SAMUI - Beach Bungalow Resort! We are a small Family owned bungalow resort on Chaweng beach, Koh Samui. Our bungalows have been completely renovated in 2014. We offer all kinds of beach activities. Our restaurant is known for the fish specialties that you can enjoy directly on the beach. Coming from a family of fishermen, we serve only fresh fish that we fish daily around our island.

Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Good value. We paid less than 500 thb per room. Rooms we spacious enough. A bit out dated and could use renovation. Shower and bathroom especially. Aircon and refigirator a bit noisy and you can hear people talking and walking by but quiet enough. But with this price - no complaints.
Location is great by the beach and very close to Chaweng main road but still you can't hear the party noise from the street. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. The resort has its own restaurant which was good.

I have stayed at Marine bungalows twice over the past 3 years. The room are large but sparce, but they come with their own private veranda and the hotel is situated just far enough away from the bars that you can get a quiet nights sleep. They are set in lovely gardens and are right on the beach. I would hightly recommend a stay here!

We stayed in AC bungalow which are near the beach front @ 1000 B a night which is very descent compared to other resorts on chaweng beach, the room was big enough with 1 double and 1 single bed , LCD tv , refrigerator , some furniture . bathrooms were kinda average . This is a basic resort just next to O P bungalows . There is bar on the beach front playing country music , restaurant where they serve fresh sea food ( catch of the day ) , prices of food and liquor is also not high . The staff is also very nice , always smiling , the manager - Captain is very helpful , the owner also stays thr we met him and his wife , nice people . The location is good just 5-10 minutes walk on the beach to ark bar , so late night drunk , which we always were ;-) no worries ,10-15 minutes walk from sound club or green mango club . We stayed for around 7 nights .

If I had read or taken notice of some of the reviews I may have run a mile. I’m so glad I didn’t this place is in my eyes a gem and a great find. If you want to find fault I guess you can but for what you pay and what you get in my eyes it’s heavenly. I had room 505. Sleeps 3. It had air con . A little louder than some but I slept like a baby. The mattress was just how I like them, firm. Comfortable pillows. The shower gives enough water to have a shower but it’s not a power shower. Yes it’s little like glamping but that’s its charm. I had most of my meals on the beach and didn’t have a bad meal. All very nice food. The owner is lovely Thai gentleman who knows everything about everything re ko Samui and he loves to share. He speaks good English. I could easily spend a month here and go nowhere else as the beach is just glorious. Shallow at high tide and very safe bathing in glorious blue water with white sand beach. All staff are very kind and give lovely service. In summary if your looking to moan you can, if your looking to be positive and enjoy traditional Thai hospitality at an incredible price I highly recommend this place. It’s peaceful and idyllic. If you want night life it’s all available a short walk away. As is Central Shopping Mall. I will be back next year.

Firstly, it should not call itself a resort as it had nothing resort-like. We ended up paying a big tariff to stay on the beach for NYE in this so called resort and was totally totally disappointed. They have one reception cum restaurant on the beach which manages their restaurant, shack business and the rooms, so extremely dirty and ill-managed. We had gone for an activity in the morning so got really late and checked in at 4 PM when you expect the rooms to be ready, yet they made you wait. So we reach at 4 PM and the lady is extremely occupied in creating bills for restaurant to check you in, so we wait, then she gives us the key and says wait till I have someone to walk you to the room. We wait 10-15 mins and then on insisting her she finds the time to get someone to take us to our room. We reach there and the room is still not cleaned so we wait outside again. The rooms are nothing like the pictures and quite inside from the beach. No bath and shower products in the bathroom, no toilet paper and no water in the toilet. No phone in the room so every time you have to walk up all the way to the beach restaurant to get anything. The bedsheets are all torn and if you open the knob to get water in your bidet, it leaks and floods the whole bathroom. There are geckos in the room who will give you surround sound the whole night. All the restaurants around the place had NYE parties or gala dinners or lights to show some form of celebration, but this place was all dark and boring on NYE. Extremely sad that I chose this place and paid so much.

I was here in March 22. Sea View bungalow, two weeks. Very friendly personal, they do everything for you to please you. Lot of sun and a lot of shadow. Very nice terrace, where you can see the sun coming up, drinking a beer from the 7Eleven nearby. It is a family company and the family is friendly and interested in their customers. I go back soon.

Me & my brother recently stayed here, initially for four days but ended up staying for a week and a half. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the nightlife but still really relaxed and the beach is much nicer around the hotel than it is 400m down. The fish they serve at the restaurant is caught daily by the workers and is the nicest fish I have ever eaten. The staff were the some of the most incredible and lovely people I have ever met, they treated us like friends rather than customers. You get exactly what you pay for with the rooms, people complaining about dustiness etc. are being ridiculous as it's only 600 baht per night. We've changed our plans so we can make it back there for a week at the end of our trip. I couldn't reccomend this place more highly to anybody of any age. Loved it and miss it already.

When i could'nt find any hotel a cab driver reccomended at drove me to marine bungalows, the room was dirty and there was dust all over the place! do i have to meantion i checked out next morning?! The toilet\shower was smelling so bad i nearly throw up. The "hot water shower" didnt had any hot water only freezing cold! and the bed was to short! (im only 188 cm) . The staff was really uncongenial and kind of ignored me when i asked relevant questions! Snotty inflexible people with a bad attitude(!)

The place is located in a quiet part of the beach and walking distance to party and/or other quiet zones. Rooms are simple and a bit old but cheap (you can get from 600Bahts) so if u only want to sleep there, no problem. If you want to spend more time in the rooms, look for another place.
The boy who works at the bar is just lovely, such a nice guy.
But the others ... they only want your money They cheat you as much as they can. They try to sell you a package to Surat Thani airport paying 550 bahts sharing with many people and waking up much more earlier when you can do it private and enjoying a few more hours in Samui just bargaining a bit. As they want to sell you their tickets they will cheat you saying there's no other way than theirs, that you will miss the flight blablabla adn even being rude with you. CHEATERS!
Also, be carefull if you rent a car/bike with them as they will try to find the excuse to fine you and get another 100/200 bahts (even if you leave the vehicle with more fuel than when recieved).
So, for sleep and breakfast (continental one is tasty!) is ok and value for money, but don't spend more time there or you will be cheated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stay 5 days in kho samui We had nice room and quite with little balconi in front ..also we have private beach .. massage service. Free wifi ..laundry service .. lobbybar and braekfast.. cheap price for good quailty ..it was lovely stay ..the staff are very friendly.. higly recommend!!!
