Where locality is a priority, De Naga Chiang Mai provides this with added convenience. Situated across from Tha Pae Gate in the Old City, the hotel is placed in a prime location, right in the heart of the city. The sights and attractions of Chiang Mai are all in close proximity, with many various cultural attractions, the Sunday walking street, and local shops within 10 minutes walking distance, as well as featured view of Doi Suthep Mountain. All rooms and villas are designed to implement the modern art with the beauty of nature. The decorations and facilities are based on woods to keep the balance of nature yet keep the comfort from high technology facilities.

We stayed at the De Naga for two weeks, while visiting Chiang Mai, Jan. 2021. Perfect time of year to visit. Warm and beautiful! The hotel is an older hotel, but well kept. The service was above and beyond what you would expect, with friendly, fast and caring service. Always greeted with a smile. This would be a 5 star rating, except we had daily trouble with the air conditioning, to the point that we finally had to move rooms when it was no longer fixable. BUT - Management was gracious, helped us move and generous in taking care of us. The daily breakfast and coffee was always very good. Location is outstanding, within walking distance of great food, shopping and the night market. We loved everyone we meant at the De Naga. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is decent and service was GREAT! Important to note - if you are picking this hotel because it has a swimming pool... you might want to reconsider. The swimming pool is very cold. Nice to relax after a long hot day site seeing, but you won't be taking a dip - at least not in January!

This hotel was good for what we paid and we are pleased we chose it. The location is ideal, the service is good and breakfast is good. It is shabby around the edges - rooms are clean but need some TLC. Pool area is very much in need of some work, and is tiny and mostly in the shade but is fine for cooling off briefly. It is also only cleaned once a day first thing in the morning, so you need to be happy with a few dead cockroaches if you want a dip in the afternoon. There is also an overhanging roof above the sun loungers (all of them) so beware falling bird food (and dead birds). I gave this a 4 because it is cheap and you get what you pay for, but we wouldn't stay again.

Our first stop in Thailand was Chiang Mai. We chose to stay at the Hotel De Naga. We had a great stay with impeccable accommodations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was pretty good too being close to the Sunday night market and night bazaar. Breakfast was included and the selections exceeded our expectations. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Chaing Mai. ❤️❤️❤️

The De Naga hotel is a good hotel but has a few things where it could improve greatly ! We had a premium delux room that was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable and I couldn't really fault the room. It did cost me 1000 baht per night to change to this room but I thought it worth the price. The hotel is quite small but very pleasant, a small pool with half a dozen sun beds. Unfortunately the pool doesnt really get the sun but it is pleasant to lay after a tiring day. Bar service at the pool is pretty poor to be honest having on several occasions having to go and find someone to serve you ! If someone is at the pool there SHOULD BE SOMEONE AT THE BAR ! Breakfast at the hotel is ok nothing special with what I thought a limited choice, most of the food on offer being rice noodles etc and of course the obligatory eggs that were good ! We enjoyed our stay here, the only thing I thought particularly poor was the dreaded Mini Bar ! Having upgraded the room I was told the mini bar was included, not entirely true, YES it was included for that night ! Then everything was chargeable again, so basically if you drank everything that evening, as to which there was only coke, juices etc. No beer or wine you didn't get charged, if you drank it the next night you did ! Really ! It wasn't restocked so I really can't see why you would want to irritate a guest over SUCH A TRIVIALITY as a can of coke ! On the whole a good hotel with a few easily resolved issues, a very good spa and some good staff !

We stayed 5 nights at the De Naga Hotel. We did opt for the fancier room - but still reasonably priced and felt like a palace! Somehow this is a quiet oasis tucked in a short private street edged with bamboo trees, yet located the super crowded busy old city portion of Chiang Mai. Breakfast buffet was great each morning, the swimming pool is small but lovely with jets for massage and bubbles as well as sunbeds and chairs and a poolside bar. The decor is gorgeous - the Naga rules supreme, twisting around pillars, spewing fountains, and even as door handles. The service was excellent from check-in to check out, and the location can't be beat - easy walk to the Sunday Walking Market, the fabulous shopping area, shining historic wats, and the Arts and Culture Museum. We can't wait to go back.

We didn't know what to expect since this was our first visit to Chiang Mai and this was such an excellent surprise. This is in an excellent location in the old city only a block from the Sunday street market and lots of good, inexpensive restaurants nearby including the one at the hotel which serves a fantastic breakfast (included) Fresh croissants, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit and Thai dishes. The staff was great and very helpful with all of our needs. The room was comfortable with a very good bed, They have a very relaxing pool with a bar and the free 10 minute massage is a welcome surprise.

The staff and facilities here are absolutely amazing, can’t say enough kind words about how nice the staff is, they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy. The hotel and grounds are very calming and relaxing, we are enjoying our stay and do not want to leave, everything you need here including the wing 26 bistro for food and drinks couldn’t ask for much better.

Needed a hotel for one night and a person at work had stayed at this hotel and said he like it. It was cheaper to book via Hotels.com then in person at the hotel (1200 baht cheaper). Room was clean and plenty of space. If you dont like a hard bed dont stay here. TV channels kept dropping out so you couldnt watch anything. Pool small and noisey water feature. Check-in was easy but didnt have that personal touch. Breakfast wad fantastic and staff very good. Would i stay again, no.

This hotel could not be beat. The staff here were the nicest and most accommodating on our trip to Thailand. The location is in the middle of the old city but feels like you are miles away because it is so quiet. I would absolutely recommend to anybody going to Chiang Mai
