Our room was pretty small and the view was of the roof. Its simple and basic but clean. The bathroom was OK and they provide us with soap, shampoo, and fresh water every day. The place is very close to the Thapae Gate which is convenient. There is also an exchange house on the same street with good prices and...

Awesome location, a stones thro from Tha Pae gate. I paid 1500 baht, a bit pricey but you'll get a good fresh hotel with nice rooms, like-home beds, pleasant shower gels, TV with some english, german, french channels. And a choise between a 5 set breakfast on a padio facing a calm small street. Good for couples.

This is in an ideal location for visiting Chiang Mai. Helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms and a good choice for breakfast. Even though it's right on the edge of the old town and all the busy nightlife area it's down a quiet side street. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in...

At fist i thought we had booked into the wrong hotel after reading and booking this hotel on the strength of the reviews? Staff were pleasant and accommodating and allowed us to check in early. They then put us into the smallest room i have ever stayed in!.. Nowhere to hang cloths (no wardrobe) The bathroom was the size of...

We spent three nights at Happy House and felt really comfortable. For the price you get a nice and clean room, and every day new towels! The service is great and everybody was friendly. Unfortunately I got sick from some bad food at a restaurant in Chiangmai. But the people at Happy House helped us finding a pharmacy (which happens...

Such a nice and cozy place! The room was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel was perfectly located and still quiet! The staff was amazingly nice - they gave us a late check out for free when my boyfriend was suffering from a food poisoning! Super nice and helpful, especially in such a bad situation :) we will definitely come...

Well looked after hotel albeit basic. Clean rooms, A/C and friendly staff. Morning breakfast is decent. Only thing that lets this place down is noise. You can hear absolutely everything and can be noisy at night. Bring earplugs! Would stay here again, however!

The Thapae Happy House is well located in central Chaing Mai near the Phae gate. It's a 10 minute walk from most of the temples of interest in the area with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The hotel itself is comfortable, if a little basic. There's no lift so if you're on the top floor you'll have to walk...

This place is from far the best place i have ever been in chiang mai. Location is great, staff is incredibly friendly, from the receptionnist to the people who work in the kitchen, and also the cleaning girls, every thing was perfect. My mom and I booked for 2 nights, and we stayed 5. And we will be back !!!!

My partner and I stayed here for 6 days over the Loy Krathong/Yi Ping festival period and will without a doubt come back when we return to Chiang Mai. I have stayed in many hotels in Thailand during my life and I'd say Thapae Happy House easily makes my top 3 list. We stayed in one of their superior rooms,...
