Excellent Hotel and well trained staff. We found a Birthday cake on one day and Gluten free cake and flowers on our anniversary after a trip to the Botanical Gardens. Due to Covid the hotel was flexible with provision of F&B and as occupancy increased the a la carte breakfast was moved to the main dining to cope with the guest numbers, all the time the staff coped admirably with the impositions of social distancing. Sanitation stations were on every lobby, inside the elevators and security at the entrances to the hotel was very welcome. Ian Cotting, the ADFB, made a point of visiting all guests over breakfast and around the pool. This is a very customer / guest focused hotel. Large grounds, an excellent pool with a water slide and children activities (plus the usual painted Elephant Parade statues dotted around) make this a hotel suitable for guests with or without children.

The most beautiful hotel in Chiang Mai with impeccable service. This hotel is centrally located in Chiang Mai yet it is like a oasis in Chiang Mai. It is similar to the Shangri-La written in the seminal novel “Lost Horizon” by British author James Hilton in 1933. I have stayed here several times and have enjoyed all my previous stays. I have returned 4 days ago from Bangkok. This occasion was during the extremely tenuous challenging time for the Chiang Mai’s hospitality industry. Because of this, Shangri-La Chiang Mai has an incredible promotion of their rooms. If you purchase a 3,500 baht voucher it will entitle you to stay for 2 nights in a deluxe room. That is 1,750 baht per night. It is simply the most spectacular deal I have ever seen and probably will never see it again. It means you stay in a real Shangri-La for $58 a night. A true five star hotel at this price point is UNBELIEVABLE in my honest opinion. All the incidentals are similarly discounted 50%. discount for a 90 minutes oil massage is 1,100++ baht or $36 for a 1.5 hour treatment massage. I highly encourage everyone to visit Shangri-La Chiang Mai since it is a beautiful hotel and currently having such a fantastic promotion. However I believe the special voucher rate will end by August 17, 2020. Adieu

Friendly staff and helpful from the airport (even little late greeting as I have to call hotel) for my staying, sightseeing and shopping trip especially K. North/ Airport rept. and all FO and restaurant staffs. Hotel has very strict Covid-19 procedure for all area which impressed me. Except at the chair at restaurant (Happy hour) has some hairs and bread dropped. Little funny that guest who want to go to the pool has to pass restaurant that some are eating that sounds weird for 5-star hotel. Room was fantastic view of Doi Suthep and spacious but little smell of carpet. Shower is great with temp. control and strong pressure. It is fulfilling our moment when arrived the room with complementary nice bottle of wine, sweet plate, big roses and cute decoration to celebrate our anniversary very happily. Hotel limo is great with nice driver who advice me for nice temple then it was pleasure trip for sightseeing and shopping. Price also cheap with brand new car (Toyota Camry) looks exclusive amongst other tourist while you are arrived. Breakfast is top notch for quality and taste, a la carte but unlimited order, then I continue my food explore at hotel with lunch. Prawn has to check for quality (King prawn salad), the rest of lunch is great (quality, portion, and taste). Overall is great, thumbs up. I will come back definitely. Charm of this hotel is all staff do Wai (Thais greeting) to the guest and recognition even 1 night stay.

Thank you very much to Khun Aomsin and Front office team for my husband's Birthday cake with lovely bouquet. We got the high floor room nice view , very impression of cleanliness in the room. Unfortunate my husband was sick on his birthday, then he can't have the delicious chocolate cake , The chocolate cake not my favor'BUT this first time I do fall in love of Chocolate cake , Thank you to Chef as well. The IVD service very impressed Food very hot and good taste. We spend 4 night stay , Staff very helpful when I taken my husband to hospital. Thank you everyone there, We will visit you again...

I would like to say thank you to staff Mr. Jack & Mr.Rin life guard at Swimming pool, they help me to solve problem during swimming in pool, my waterproof glasses fall down in bottom of pool, Both of them saw and quick action to ask me, help to find out. Room very nice view and cleanliness.
