Shangri-La Chiang Mai garners accolades for its welcoming atmosphere and classic elegance, which is especially festive during certain seasons. Its prime location near the night bazaar and local attractions is a highlight for guests, as is the spaciousness of the rooms and the professionalism of the staff. While the Horizon Club upgrades are deemed excellent value, some guests have noted the need for faster poolside service and updates to the amenities. Although the hotel's cleanliness is generally praised, there have been occasional mentions of variability in housekeeping.

Really nice hotel, great bed, facilities, breakfast and service overall. It's also really well placed in the city. Easiest place to talk in English in Thailand, the staff was so nice! It was the best hotel we stayed in south east Asia. Special thanks to Chaow as concierge.

In all my 50 plus years of travel, this hotel staff is by far the most gracious, most accommodating, most sincere group I have ever encountered. Especially noteworthy are the concierge and the lobby lounge staff. Also, overall, the hotel in general was fabulous. Keep up the great work! I shall return.

We had a good stay at this hotel. The staff were wonderful, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I enjoyed a session at the Chi Spa, very good therapist providing a relaxing massage. Location wise, the hotel is in the city and a short 8 minute walk to the Night Bazaar. I find the chairs at the club lounge to be uncomfortable. There was no seat cushion provided so it was not very comfortable to seat long. I wish the culinary standard at the Club lounge and Cafe can be improved. No evening live music entertainment at the lobby lounge so it was boring to enjoy a drink!

Dear ctsim, Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback regarding your recent stay in the hotel. I am very delighted to hear that you had an overall pleasant experience with us. Also, I am glad to learn that you found your room comfortable, clean and spacious, and that you were impressed by our heart-warming hospitality. Our central location, within walking distance to the night market, local restaurants and the city’s main tourist attractions, makes it extremely convenient to our guests to explore the city easily at any time of the day. Our CHI, The Spa Village surrounded by lush tropical gardens is indeed a wonderful destination within our resort, which makes us unique. Furthermore, I am pleased to read that our dedicated therapists were able to provide you a relaxing massage experience, contributing to an extra indulgence to your stay, and I am sure they will be delighted to be recognized in such a wonderful manner. Thank you so much 😊 ! On another note, I do appreciate your honest feedback regarding the uncomfortable chairs and the average quality of the food served at our club lounge, as well as the absence of evening live music entertainment at the hotel lobby lounge. Rest assured, ctsim, that all points have been addressed to our relevant managers for their immediate attention. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We truly value your feedback as it allows us the opportunity to continually improve and provide the best possible experience for our guests. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for an even more enjoyable stay. Please, feel free to contact me directly if there is anything I can do to assist you with. Yours sincerely, Gabriele Lombardo General Manager

Nice lobby bar to sip some drinks. Everyday the lobby bar open up for Happy hour between 5 pm to 7 pm. You can choose from some classical coctails and have 2 for the price of one. It is not ultra cheap but it is a soft enviroment and quiet place for a drink or two.

this place isn't cheap. The location is pretty good for the Night Market but there are other nice hotels in the midst of the Night Market. We are fans of the Shangri-La brand and this location did not disappoint us. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Our room was nice and comfortable, but for the quality of the hotel, I was disappointed in the fluctuations in water temperature in the shower.

The hotel is lovely inside and the breakfast is amazing, lots to choose from. The rooms are clean and quite big. The rooms are a bit old and comparing to other hotels, do need a face lift. We thought the concierge was a bit rude but the other staff were friendly. Not sure if I can recommend even though I gave it 4 circles.

We were on a trip to Thailand to celebrate my 75th Birthday and our 44th wedding anniversary. We visited a numner of places, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Bangkok. We were at the Shangrila Chiang Mai from 25 January to 31 January 2024. We had the best of service from all staff. We apoligise for not remenbering the names, but every staff member was brilliant, from the concierges (who arranged some excellent trips for us) to the front office, house keeping, Breakfast/Resturant Staff. All were excellent. The Breakfast was superb, wide choice for all taste. Special thanks to Eddy the Chef for making special orders for us. We were originally planning to stay until 29th Jauary but exteded our stay by an addtional 2 days as it was such a pleasant place. The Management of the hotel can take heart that they have very good staff. We were booked as Mr and Mrs Gill. Can't remember my room number (could be 1009). We will be back. Thanks from Munjit Gill
