This is the perfect secret hideaway in a tranquil garden setting. A good place to relax after a busy day out in Chiang Mai. Convenient for the town, trips and local colour, villages, paddy fields within walking distance. Our family received a very friendly welcome, and settled in immediately. Peter, his wife Pai and his daughter Isabel couldn’t do enough... More

I only patronised the bar/restaurant. I have not stayed at the guest house. This bar was clearly a beautiful place when it was first built. However, the garden is barely existent, what plants are there are dead - it's been totally neglected. It's dirty and unattractive. It's only bonus is it's location, which is on the Sunday Night Walking Street.... More

We were staying in a hotel across the street from here and ventured in one Friday night. The music wasn't too bad. The staff here are so unenthusiastic, they clearly do not want to be here!! Such bad attitudes and walking around with a face on them!! Plenty of other nice bars around so avoid here.

We heard The Garden before we saw it! Nice patio area with live bands. We only had drinks here on a few occasions, a really good place to relax and have a beer and listen to the live music! The service was good and the beers cold, prices on par with other bars. There were four bands on each night,... More

We were in Chaing Mai for 3 nights and 2 out of the 3 we went to this great place that we could enjoy live music which is what we enjoy back in Australia. This is the place to go when you like to kick back have a nice meal and a few drinks, thank you.

Came here for a few "cocktails in pineapples" and listen to the 4 bands that were playing. While the bands were a little off note and sometimes off key, and yes the each seemed to play at least 2 of the same songs it is great fun. has a really good range of drinks at pretty good prices.

Dont let that title fool you, we had a blast at The Garden. We did not stay here, rather we came for some very well priced and tasty food for dinner and didn't leave until after the third live reggae band (all were entertaining) had finished their set. The service here is as you would expect anywhere in S.E Asia,... More

This place was wonderful. Stayed in the guesthouse. It was clean, had A/C, plenty of room, and was in a great location. Staff was nice, and the bands were good. Great setup here, a must-see for Chiang Mai nightlife

We went there for 2 nights in a row for drinks and for the live music. Both days different set of live bands and both were good! Food and drinks wise, above average and price is reasonable. Something about live music and food is a magic combo :) Overall would recommend to anyone who wants to chill out and kick... More

The Garden is the place to go to have a beer and listen music. Some groups are really very very good. The owners are not particularly friendly but they are lucky to have a good waitress! Food is average.
