We stayed at this hotel from the 13th to the 18th February 2011. First impressions...very large room, enormous bed, nice accomodation. Helpful friendly staff at reception. Good buffet breakfast, plenty of choice. Location is excellent. A short 10 minute walk to the main market area, turn left leaving the hotel via the restaurant area. The swimming pool is small but...

Great location by lots of pubs, restaurants and massage places. Just across the street from the Sunday market, and a short tuk tuk ride from the Night Bazaar. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options. Fresh fruit in the fridge everyday, as well as yummy cakes. In room safe. AC worked wonderfully. Quiet in the room (no noise from halls...

Great location though the sleaze area was a little too close for comfort. Very near the Night Bazaar though we did not particularly like the shopping experience. Better off at the Saturday Walking Market which isnt as near but still within walking distance (15-20mins). The cotton clothing shop across the road offers a good range of clothing. Staff were very...

We came to this hotel expecting it to be above average based on reviews. Pros: Breakfast had plentiful choices of western food. Staff was very friendly. Free wifi. Free drinks in the mini bar. Good housekeeping. Convenient location to bars, restaurants, and shopping. Cons: We had ants in our first room and needed to change. Shower drain was slow in...

I chose this hotel based on reviews from other users. All I can say is that I was wrong. The first thing I noticed was that the hot water systems was inconsistent and erratic. Jets of hot water would pulse through the cold water rather than remain constant. The result of this was for the shower to go from cold...

The Raming Lodge is a friendly, clean and nicely located hotel just outside the old walled city. The breakfast is excellent and the concierge is very helpful (and always there). We even enjoyed the inexpensive foot massages that were available each evening across the street.

1. The hotel was very clean. 2. I gave the service a 3 because the staff had a very hard time understanding and speaking english. They could not answer very basic questions, "like where is the nearest gym?" and "would you call me a taxi?". I even tried writting them, but no luck. 3. The location is right in the...

Stayed for 7 nights in January. We were in the Royal suite - 2 bedrrooms and small living space, with 2 adults and 3 children. My parents were in a deluxe room. Only real complaint is having to wait for the daily housekeeping. We are not particularly fussy people and with 3 kids (5, 8 & 10) was very annoyed...

Great hotel with very central location between Old town and Night Bazaar. Around is everything you need. Restaurants, bars, shopping, massages and sights. I paid only 35 eur per night with very good breakfast. Room was clean, cosy and quiet. One free dinner and thaimassage included. I liked Chiang Mai very much and if I some day come back I...

Is much better than the somewhat draconian exterior suggests. Very reasonably priced, Raming Lodge is situated within walking distance of pretty much everything, and right on the wonderful Loi Kroh Road, which is full of 'treats' and 'surprises'. Good that it has a pool, even if it is a little dominated by Brit families. Oh well. Otherwise, our pick for...
