We had an amazing stay at Baan Orapin! The property and the rooms are gorgeous - beautiful trees and greenery, lovely main house, and stunning rooms, with teak wood furniture and decorations from local artists. We had a huge, beautiful room towards the front of the property, and it included a king sized canopy bed, a lounging area, a spacious... More

I was really looking forward to staying at Baan Orapin after reading some of the rave reviews it gets on Trip Advisor. I have to say that I agree completely with them. Its a half hour walk or a 5 minute tuk tuk ride to the old town but once behind the guest house gate you would think you were... More

Freshly cooked breakfast, plenty of choice, Thai American etc. Superb coffee fruits juice. Bathrooms nice & spacious, hot water. Free wifi. Free tea coffee in room. We spent three nights here while exploring Chiang Mai, and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable, the room and grounds were beautiful, and our host (Pepsi?) was completely helpful. The Charoenraj Road was filled with fascinating and elegant shops of local ceramics, fabrics, fashions, handmade paper, gorgeously painted ceramic elephants, a lovely tea room, and several good restaurants (beyond... If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We stayed in a one bedroom suite for three nights. The room was extremely well appointed and comfortable. The view from the room was that of a tropical paradise, with several varieties of tropical fruit trees and exotic flowers. The room had fresh flowers and a mini bar... More

We stayed with our family of five (two adults, three children). Our room had two bedrooms and a lounge which was connected to the master bedroom. There were also two bathrooms. The windows and doors were fitted with drop bolts and this made us feel secure about traveling with small children in an unfamiliar country The hotel was surrounded by... More

Stayed here for 3 nights during our final leg of Chiang Mai. Wanted to mix our locations up a bit. The hotel staff were really friendly, happy to help when possible. Our room spacious, after a little research we chose a suite towards the back near the pool area, altho like alot of places in SE Asia the bed was... More

Our family of 4 had a fabulous, clean family villa for our 2 nights at Baan Orapin. Our room was lovely and very clean and quiet with lots of hot water and good AC. It was easy and inexpensive to get a tuk-tuk to the major temples about 10 minutes away within the walls of the old town. One challenge... More

Wonderful place; hidden away off the main road in it's own grounds - The accommodation is clean and original with a wonderful host and a perfect location to explore Chiang Mai and beyond. Breakfast is basic but all you need and the owner is a full of knowledge and happy to arrange any request from an early morning taxi to... More

This was our second visit and was almost as good as the last. This time we opted for a front suite which was large and roomy. Not as luxurious as the back ones and the bathroom was smaller and older. The main difference being though is the traffic noise which was very noticeable. The grounds are still a haven to... More
