Stayed at the hotel 8th to 19thSept. both cottage & hotel. The whole hotel had a look of lost interest & tiredness, example the restaurant advertised promotion was a cheeseburger. boring menu, no speciality of the day, hence I saw few people using the restaurant. breakfast had been O.K if included in package, pricey if not. It was as if interest and present-day needs had been left behind. There were no shops in walking distance, fine not the hotels' fault, but instead of a small shop facility around the reception, as enough space, A small cabinet, with a few crisps and not much else. the whole place could have done with a lick of paint. Plus, the pool arrear lack of facilities to sun bath, (four wooden sunbeds in the shade no cushions on.) Positive aspect, rooms in hotel very pleasant roomy & including a comfortable bed, cleaned every day. The chalets could be fab but need some tender loving care and cut back all the shrubbery it is taking over the place. On the whole good value for money, maybe these are the reasons stated why it is, but it could be brilliant with thought and imagination, someone needs to get hold of it & give it a good shaking.

SCAM ALERT! DO NOT STAY HERE. We booked the Cottage Garden Suite, which looks gorgeous in the photos with granite tub and nice patio deck. When we arrived, there was some trouble finding our booking. They asked to see our reservation and I showed the email from Expedia, which only read “1 room” not the type. When I pulled up the listing of the Cottage Garden Suite, they said that room was booked (they only have one), so they’d put us in the Cottage Room. This room was not only cheaper than what we paid for but DISGUSTING. Black mold, loud machine sounds, bugs and webs everywhere and NOTHING like the pictures online. We didn’t want to stay there and called Expedia to see about a refund but they said it was up to the hotel. I asked Expedia for an itemized receipt to show that I paid for the Cottage Garden Suite, but they couldn’t provide that either. Feeling stuck, we asked hotel if there were any other rooms so they moved us to the Eurasia Suite, which is even cheaper (half the price) of the room we originally booked. This room was cleaner, but again not what we booked. We held onto hope that Expedia would refund us the difference and over the course of a week we had four long phone calls with them and email exchanges where we were told again and again it was up to the hotel to refund us. They would not. Not only did we lose money by paying for a room they gave away, the hotel has no gym as advertised and food is terrible. Check your receipts from expedia or get scammed!

My husband and I recently visited Chiang Mai and stayed at Eurasia for 3 nights. We were looking forward to checking in and having a comfortable stay, however upon arrival we were very disappointed. Firstly, the photos on the website and Booking.com are very misleading. The photos were definitely from when the hotel was still new. The actual hotel looks to be 50 years older than what the photos show. Everything from the floor, carpet, walls, lighting, furniture were all very dingy, aged and needed a thorough makeover to look like the photos advertised. Our check-in process was also a disappointment. We booked our stay through Booking.com and thought our reservation was already paid. The front-of-house agent demanded that we pay before even checking in and since we thought we had paid, we did not have any cash. We offered to pay in pound sterling's but they would not accept it. We then said "well what can we do?" The agent asked what appeared to be her supervisor and the reply was that we just needed to pay before checking-in. After a tiring journey from Pai, we expected a little bit more hospitality and welcome as a guest. We then said we would pay this evening after exchanging some money. After this awkward exchange at the check-in process, we were neither showed to our room, assisted by anyone with our luggage, told where our room was besides that it was on the 3rd floor, or showed how anything in our room worked such as the AC, safety deposit box or lights. We walked up the 3 flights of stairs to a dark, dirty corridor that had an unpleasant, stale air to it. Upon opening the door to our room, as explained earlier, we were very disappointed to find that everything in the room was much older than the photos, definitely in need of refurbishment and the carpet and bathroom a whole facelift. All the furniture, bed and appliances looked like it needed an update too. On our first night we found out how hard the bed was. It literally felt like you were sleeping on a block of wood with a bed sheet over it. We were also freezing as the AC was on full blast and we were not shown how to use it nor did they mention there are two AC's; one in the living room and one in the bedroom. On top of that, the actual blanket on the bed was extremely thin. On their website, it mentions that you are surrounded by sounds of nature and are walking distance from Chiang Mai's attractions. Neither of these are true. We woke up to the sounds of motorbikes and construction, and the hotel itself is located off a busy highway in the middle of car shops and other local businesses. The only time we ever feel the need to write a review as detailed as this is if our experience was excellent or terrible. This was definitely one of our worst hotel stays as the hotel is advertised completely different from what it actually is. The hotel staff were also below standard. The front of house themselves did not look really happy to help us or greet us when walking into the lobby. To top this experience of staying at Eurasia off, we discovered tiny ants living in our bathroom on the second night. We were lucky to spot them as they were crawling all over the sink and my wife's toothbrush. At first we thought they were spiders, but it turned out to be ants living in the cracks of the bathroom tiles. To appease my wife, I taped off two of the entrances I found. Lastly, on the day of our check-out we were attempting to open the safe at least 20 times before we that contained our passports and my wife's wallet. The safe kept giving us an error code of some sort and would not open. Luckily, it finally opened after the 20th try. We were able to check out smoothly but will unfortunately not be back due to all these reasons.

Firstly the good bits - The staff were very friendly and helpful and booked a couple of trips for us. The price we paid for 5 nights was fairly good also and the location suited well enough - took about 20 mins without traffic to the airport and about 10/15 mins into the old town. Taxis to the old town were about 100 baht but the hotel does offer a free shuttle service which needs to be booked. The bad bits - the rooms are very tired looking and need a makeover. They weren’t that clean either and there was dark mildew and broken tiles in the bathroom and small ants along the window sills. Breakfast was ok but nothing special

We absolutely loved the room we stayed in. #931 is a beautiful little bungalow near the back of the hotel with a private back yard, front porch and seating area, large bath tub, and out favorite: an outdoor shower! It's a little ways from the city, so it's nice and quiet! The hotel also offers a free shuttle into the city before 2pm and delicious free breakfast every day! Our stay here was amazing! We will definitely be back here soon 🤗❤

The hotel is old but renovated and furnished with vintage design. The room is very very very spacious but not too many of plug sockets (need to use the lamp sockets). The hotel (main buildings) is not suitable for handicap or elderly (should book a house which located next to the hotel area). The breakfast was out door. It's good if you visit in the winter time of Thailand. It's relaxing and surrounded by trees.

Ok the best thing about this hotel is the minibus, and friendly staff no matter how annoyed you get, Dai and the other minibus drivers are great but Dai is the best, he'll go out of his way to help you, if he can, and is about the longest staying member of staff at the hotel, so kind of gets to know you a little more if you return, and your personal preferences, ok now for the bad stuff, in my first cottage I had an infestation of ants, I found myself feeling embarrassed by having to ask at reception to a young thai lad, for bug spray, which I had to borrow over night it was that bad, then my aircon was spitting out what I can only describe as lumps of ice, making an offensive grating noise, and then spitting out white powder, that I believe to be wall plaster, this was all during the last week of my holiday, I moved hotel, to another budget 2 star hotel, The Choktawee Smile, after a row with reception about about no running water from my bath or sink tap, for 2 whole days along with my toilet constantly running, and the aircon issue, by the 2nd night away I ended up in hospital because of an autistic meltdown, spent the morning, 2 nights and the following morning in the hospital so after 5 days away, and them insisting they were fixing it, and wouldn't get general manager when asked, insisted on sorting it, in house, I assumed by the time I got back it'd be sorted, I went back to the Choktawee Smile after my hospital discharge to explain my meltdown and apologise to staff, amending friendships with staff there, before returning back to the Eurasia in the evening, big mistake, my room smelt like raw sewage, I went to have a shower in the night and nothing but brown sewage smelling sludge came from the taps, by the morning, it was clearing, but not enough, so I went in the Swimming Pool, the pumps weren't turned on so water a little stagnant, but better than smelling for my hospital outpatient appointment, so I hoped by the evening the water would be ok, I was wrong, it was back to brown smelly sludge, I moved again for the remaining 3 nights of my holiday, back to the Choktawee Smile, I enjoyed clean water there for the remainder of my holiday, no token or good will gesture of a partial refund, and on the 2nd night they re-let my room, so I could not have returned even if they fixed it, I will not be staying again, although will miss some of the staff, but will return to visit, as my grandmother's ashes are sprinkled around the fountain there 😊

We didn’t actually stay. The pictures on booking.com are out of date. The hotel rooms & grounds are very tired and could do with a major refurbishment. We had booked a garden room but on arrival and being shown the room I returned to reception with my iPad and asked to be moved to another room, described as ‘suite’ on the photograph. After moving to that room, on the second floor, although still not as good as the photograph, I was willing to give it a go, until I went into the bathroom. It was disgusting, black mould everywhere. My husband returned again to reception, again with photos of other rooms on the iPad, to be told all the rooms are the same. Luckily I had made contact with a Thai tour company before leaving home and I contacted them and asked for recommendations. We had to pay for 1 night but moved out after 1 hour. Booking.com policy should be to have photos of all hotels renewed after 2/3 years. Maybe then people would have less to complain about if they know exactly what they are paying for Also not sure who provided the timings of distance from hotel to airport, old city etc unless they travelled in the early hours of the morning when there was no traffic. It took at least 40 minutes from airport at 11:00 am and from hotel to old city when leaving it took us about 25 minutes (at about 13:00)
