The River View Lodge is overlooking the Ping River and is less than 10 minutes stroll from Chiang Mai's famous Night Bazaar. Decorated with regional carvings and textiles, our rooms are clean, neat, beautifully appointed and simply furnished with good showers, hot water and air conditioning. The Riverview Lodge continues to draw my wife and I (as well as other repeat guests) back to Chiangmai year after year. Charm, location, garden, Ping River, and staff combine to make this small, classy hotel the perfect retreat from the city. My wife says “best breakfast in Chiangmai” We think it could be the perfect yoga retreat for a small group with the gardens and swimming pool. Management and staff are always available and keep the garden manicured and hotel spotless.

This was our third stay at the delightful River View Lodge and, thankfully, little has changed. This time we took a room overlooking the pool and River Ping. It's a short walk to the night market (superb street food). Good breakfasts with a nice small plate of fruit, fresh coffee, eggs & bacon. Room very comfy with fridge and safe. Good quality bed linen. But, best of all, bthe beautiful tandem lovingly tended garden with lots of nooks and crannies of delight. The pool is slightly cold but absolutely fine once you're in. This hotel is a most excellent choice for flashpackers ... We love it!

This is a lovely and very comfortable small hotel with beautiful grounds and a great location. It's quiet but you can walk to the Night Bazaar or the old city easily. There are good restaurants nearby and the breakfast included is very good. We enjoyed many mornings sitting on the deck over coffee and breakfast and several evenings sitting on the dock watching the lantern festival action on the bridge nearby. The owner is very helpful and kind and the price is very reasonable. We will definitely stay right here again the next time we are in Chaing Mai.

Wonderful place - the proprietor takes great pride in presenting a beautiful, well-kept space for her guests to relax. Loved our room, the pool, the lovely breakfasts, the beautiful grounds, and the amazingly short walk to the Night Market and taxi transportation. Best kept secret in Chiang Mai!

We spent five nights here. While the lodge is a two star facility (dated bathrooms and inconsistent WiFi) it is a five star hotel for its friendly service, great value, helpfulness and safe atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone wanting safe, clean accommodations. The owner gave us hints on where to buy wood items. We paid 10% the price asked at the tourist markets. She cared that we were comfortable. Great stay.
