It's my 4th week here at Galare. I was going to rent an apartment, but for about the same price this little place of peace was hard to beat. Nice architecture, really pleasant people and the place is very well kept by the owner and staff. Down a narrow Soi it snugs up against the Ping River. It's a super...

The guesthouse is showing its age but for the price I thought it was good value. My room was cleaned and sheets and towels replaced daily but it still seemed a bit gloomy and dusty. The fan was squeaky and the AC not very efficient. Drinking water is available on-tap and the restaurant, with a view of the river, is...

The quiet location next to the river and proximity to the night markets make it a great spot for a few nights. Staff are friendly, the old city is about ½ hour walk and there is tons of shops and restaurants close by. Rooms are spacious and a little dated (doesn't bother us) and the breakfast menu is limited but...

We have stayed at many Thai guesthouses, and that experience tempers this review. We have also previously stayed at Galare, but I am not sure I would again. The building/rooms are very tired. They are rough and getting rougher. However, everything did work including warm water in the shower and flushing toilets (not so in all guesthouses). The hardest bed...

We stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of our 1 month trip in SE Asia. We took a airport taxi to our guesthouse which was 150 baht. The lady was very nice and was teaching us some basic words to use as well as the difference between the north and south dialects. Location- this guesthouse is on the...

This is a small but lovely guest house with very friendly and helpful staff. It is not far from very interesting places to see. The shops and places to drink and eat are a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is right on ths side of the river ping with a great view.

Wee bit late with this review but We were a family of three adults in room 104 on the ground floor for four nights in November 2016. Our room was a good size with a large double bed and proper single bed. Very comfortable. There were many little storage spaces in the room to store bits and pieces which was...

They gave me a downstairs room because with my back and knee it's hard to climb stairs. Lovely old style Thai architecture by the Ping River. Restaurant is reasonable. Lovely grounds full of greenery and places to sit.

The rooms were spacious and clean with nice showers. The setting was really nice next to the river. The breakfast was very good with lots of options and it was nice to eat overlooking the river. The location was great, very close to the night market which is perfect for dinner. Also within walking distance of the old city. The...

The rooms are a bit dated, but okay for a few nights. The garden is pretty, but you cannot sit out there at night because of the mosquitos. We liked that the location was very close to the night market, but it was a bit of a walk from everything else. It was pretty quiet at night though, which is...
