NUMBER OF ROOMS
If had the „Deluxe Room with balcony“ - no closet/locker (only wardrobe stand) - no beside table next to bed - no safe box - no balcony furniture - no mosquito protection (window, balcony door, net) After having a shower entire bath room is flooded. Dark room with plenty of mosquitos !!!!! I would not book it again!!!
What it is: a small (less than 10 units) hotel on a quiet side street, in the northwest corner of the old city. Everything you need is within a 3 - 13 minute walk. There are plenty of photos on here to give you an idea of the aesthetic. Yes, you will see some kittens and cats on the property. You will know them by their sweaters. Not my favorite thing, seeing a thai cat in sweltering heat being made to wear a sweater, but I digress... What it isn't: large, with pool, or amenity rich. The rooms are very small. Pictures might not adequately portray that. The balcony room we got was actually ground floor, and the balcony was a patio, but whatever. The room was clean and modern and the AC was great. Bathroom was clean and modern as well. It's just small. Very small. And the walls are thin, so you will definitely hear your neighbors talking. And the rooster that crows at dawn. Kind of endearing and pastoral. Kind of annoying. Such is traveling. Staying anywhere in the Old City is going to be prime as far as location is concerned. This place is in a quiet corner of the Old City, away from the madness and noise of the east gate side. Walking there takes about 15 minutes. For the price, I think you could find better in Chiang Mai. The staff is super nice, but the hotel lacks certain amenities that a traveler might want / need. No pool, no mini fridge, no breakfast, and not much space. Hence its classification as a "hometel" - which is basically a house / hotel hybrid. PRO TIP: if you stay here, get to know the immediate local spots. They are tourist-free, and awesome: the boutique next door, the Japanese place the other way a few doors down, and of course, the coolest bar in Chiang Mai: Em16. Don't tell your friends. Keep it cool.…
Fairly new premises on a quiet soi (nevertheless close to food and massage options round the corners). Friendly, helpful, and very, very sweet staff. Rooms are clean. Be aware, however, that the rooms on the third floor could have issues with shower water pressure and WiFi reception. Another star taken off for the driver hired through the hotel who had driven us to the airport in the morning also asked for an exorbitant rate (200THB EACH for the two groups sharing instead of 200THB to be shared as both groups were given to understand, for what was a 4-km trip).
Minimal stylings, great location, and nice property - with many cats (and kittens) included. Really nice staff, although you don’t see them often (which might be what you want!). Located on a quiet street, with great cafes close by and very convenient for exploring the city. There’s a wat down the road and it gave the impression of a more “normal” life in Chiang Mai compared to some other areas of the Old City. Would definitely recommend for convenience and ease!
Great location, quick walk to the Main Street. On a little local street with a couple other hotels, makes for a quiet night. A great coffee place right beside it. The room was clean but small. Also had a little balcony off the room. Was really all you needed, but definitely small. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.
