    Old, dirty and lots of mosquitos - holes in every door, window and wall! Sheets dirty, matrace horrible - and broken toilet seat as well as broken sink. Didn't take a shower there so i don't know if there is hot water. The door showed signs that there was broken in once. If you still want to stay there, try...

    I stayed here in July, 2013, In a private single room with ensuite. The windows did not close, there was holes in the doors, and the bed was actually a childs cot with the side down - the sheet was old and smelt - and the bathroom was very old and dirty.     Kham Kiew is right in the middle of the backpacker area: many guesthouses but this one is different. Apart from being very good value for money (rooms start at 150 Bhat) it offers a simple and serene atmosphere. The owner is a very helpful Thai lady who also lives on the premises.     I heard about this place from Lonely Planet and wasn't disappointed at all! Staff were great, got a great deal on an elephant excursion from them while staying there. I was at Kham Kiew for 3-4 days. Met some great people there, rooms were clean & place is very quiet at night. Laundry service is available, and very reasonable (cheap)....
