Everytimes when we visit Chiangmai, De Chai hotel is always our home. This time we got warm welcome with a beauty decoration with roses and the towel swans in the room when we arrived. The location of the hotel is good, it’s very closed to Tha Phae and night braza market. It’s easy to move around the city too. The hotel has good facilities, the room is big. Receptionists are friendly and smile. Khun Prem and the lady in breakfast always are dedicated for best services and nice coffee every morning. Big thanks for all of staffs who provided the best services during our stay. We will definitely return.
Lovely stay in Chiang Mai. The bathroom and room were more spacious and updated than we imagined. Staff always helpful with questions and a 10 minute walk from the night bazaar market. The pool could use some more sun but it’s still a great spot to chill at. Wish we were staying longer!
The location of the hotel is ideal as it’s very near Thapae Gate and Night Bazaar. I highly recommend the Premier room as the bathroom is spacious with a nice bathtub. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, especially Beer and Faek. I will return again and recommend to my friends when they are in Chiang Mai.
We were assigned a room on 2nd floor and it comes with a king size bed which is just nice for me, my husband and my 11 year old son to sleep together. The room was very spacious and we can open up all our luggages together at the same time. Bed and pillows were clean and comfy so I bought 2 pillows from them to bring back home when we check-out. Lightings and aircon can be easily controlled from the bed panel. Love the big bathtub though the water pressure in both bathtub and shower area can be improved. Location is good as it is just 5 mins walk to Thapae Gate / Old City so we can enjoy the serenity without the crowd while not too far away from main actions. There were also a few laundry shops outside the hotel so it is very convenient. Breakfast is average as most items were the same everyday except the main staple. Pool is totally a miss as my son said it was the coldest pool he has ever swimmed in and he can't wait to get out after 5 mins. Staff at frontdesk were mostly friendly especially Faek who is a sweet lady handling our check-out and passed me the pillows I bought from them. …
We stayed at a Family Room in the hotel for our family of 4. The room consists of 2 separate areas with king sized beds with a bathtub and shower. Room was clean and tidy. Service was warm and staff were friendly! The hotel is also in a good location located near the airport. (30min)
If you want a hotel that’s close to everything, this is place to go. We came during loy krathong. Walking distance to the bridges for the ceremonies, walking distance to halal food, walking distance to old town, etc. Good AC, clean, helpful staff. Good breakfast too.
Our taxi dropped us off at the hotel which is in a small quiet side street. We arrived early afternoon and were able to check-in immediately. The room was very spacious, clean, a mix of modern and traditional design. A fun element was the extra sliding wall separating the bathroom and room. There was a large shower and bathtub as well. The tv did only have one English channel and would have been nice to have an English movie channel. Luckily the free wifi was strong enough to stream own content on my device. The breakfast offered a limited but satisfying selection of cold and hot items. The staff was always very friendly and attentive! Our favorite part was the spa area, very relaxing, affordable, sweet ladies and such a treat! The pool/bar area was okay but could be more cozy through some styling (plants, art, music). The location is good as it’s only a few minutes walk to supermarket 7eleven, a Michelin-star (Netflix) food stand and the famous square! We spend 4 nights here and would definitely recommend and return as it’s a great and friendly place!…
Excellent boutique hotel, with a very comfortable room & good bathroom/shower and excellent breakfast, well situated near town centre and friendly and helpful staff. Quiet neighborhood yet very easy to get transport by using the Grab application on my phone
We spent 3 nights at De Chai and overall it was a good experience. The location is great, central but on a quiet street. Our room was well appointed and always spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable. The hotel overall was very quiet but I expect this will change as travel picks up post Covid. Breakfast was simple but very good. Service was fine. The pool was small but looked nice- unfortunately it was closed for repairs when we were there but this was just bad luck and not a major issue for us. My 2 complaints are that both the shower and the air conditioning were difficult to manage. The shower ran from very cold to very hot and back again- we ended up giving up and having cold showers. The air conditioning was also tricky- whatever we set it to our bedroom was always freezing, and our kids was too hot. Normally this would be a minor issue but aircon is obviously really important somewhere like Chiang Mai. Overall a good hotel and these are fairly minor quibbles.…
Cute hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Me and my partner were able to sleep through the night due to the hotel being quiet all the time. We had complimentary breakfast which was delicious each day. Excellent location, near a convenient store, and near one of the main gates to the old city. Best Roti I had just near around the corner. Will definitely book this hotel again.
