Quiet place to stay in the center of Chiang Mai.Very easy to access everything around. Wonderfull welcome with a lot of help to organise your trip around. The rooms are comfortable in a genuine thai style. The only inconvenience is the price, much too expensive for the place which is still a guest house and not a luxury hotel.

We had such a great time staying here. It's so eclectic and inviting. Perfect for relaxing or using as a home base to explore the city. They were remodeling it when we were there and I cannot wait to come back and see it when it's completed. I would highly recommend staying here.

Hello, Yes the title of this review might take you off guard, but I have traveled the world and have not had an experience like this one. Adi and Louis are two of the most caring and attentive people and they run this hotel like they would take care of their own homes. If you are looking for your typical... More

My girlfriend Angela and I stayed at the Baan Boo Loo for 3 nights mid May. I was very excited about this place as I had read quite a bit about the property and service on trip advisor reviews. The Baan Boo Loo didn't cease to meet and exceed our expectations. The place has TONS of style coupled with first... More

My friend and I stayed here only for one night whilst travelling through Thailand and I cannot recommend it enough! Traditional Thai huts with full AC. Staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgable and couldn't do enough for us. Wish we could stay longer!

I have no idea where to start because this place and staff are so amazing! We stopped by a day early to see the facility and figure out where it was located (we stayed two days at another hotel prior to Baan Boo Loo). Not only did they owner, Adi, invite us in, but he gave us juice and fruit... More

It meet all my fantasies about life style in Thai, thick trees block the sun and heat, typical Thai house and a small bar. Breakfast is freshly made and could be different every day. However, it is the hospitality that makes my journey unforgettable. Adie had been always patient to all my queries, helped us to manage our day trip... More

Shoot the breeze , enjoy the trees , at this stylish , outside the concrete box boutique Guest Home. All the creature comforts except a fridge and telly in your room...but if that's what you need the Boo Loo experience is wasted on you , anyway. A short amble or tuk tuk away from the madding crowd , you wont... More

Dear Miche and Loo It was great to meet you and many thanks for spreading the word :). Lots of competition in the kitchen now with an amazing lady chef who just joined us this week ;). Please email us when you decide to come back so we can offer a discount. Thanks so much again, Louis More

A peace descended on us when we walked into the courtyard/open air lobby/lounge/ dining area. Trees and open air pavilions make this guest house the model of gracious Thai living. Staff, and especially (?) Khun Adisak did all that could be done to make ours a memorable stay - all were just great! It was warm, so our air-con room... More

Khun John Kob khun krab for staying with us. From the minute you and Betty walked in, it felt great like old friends coming to stay. You have a thirst and energy for life which would shame many a younger man and you brought us much laughter as well as a calm reassurance that we're on the right tracks here... More

I really can't say enough positive things about our stay. Every detail had such taste. If you are going to Chiang Mai you would miss out if you stayed someplace else. I seriously wanted to just hang out in my room and on the grounds but we only had 3 days. Who can say that about a hotel room? I... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A unique small Thai country village style guesthouse with surrounding wooden villas, hammocks, country garden, outdoor lounges with lots of arts and wood carvings. Visitors should be aware that this is a very natural setting. There are many kinds of creatures in the gardens Some bathrooms are semi open air and mosquitos are omnipresent as in the most part of Chiang Mai. We use mosquito netting in bedrooms as well as using air-conditioning, fans and mosquito repellents and creams free of charge. Guests are advised to wear loose fitting clothing with long sleeves and leg coverings in the early mornings and early evenings or to use a good strength anti mosquito spray. Sunny daytimes are mostly mosquito free. Hard to believe but BaanBooLOo Village seems completely cut off from the noise of the city centre yet is only 15 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport. It is without question the quietest location in all of central Chiang Mai. We are in the central historic Old City Inner Moat area just 5 minutes walk from the major landmark Wat Pra Singh temple known by all in Chiang Mai. We provide a comprehensive and hearty Thai and International breakfast from 7am until 10am. We do cater for early start breakfasts and special dietary needs. Guests are recommended to discuss any special needs upon check-in. We have a quiet policy after 10pm as these are wooden houses and respect for neighbours is paramount. We also have an outdoor late lounge area with music and drinks until around midnight which is separate from guest rooms to avoid sleep disturbance. There are late night bars, jazz club and eateries all within 20 minutes walk or a short tuk tuk ride for around 100 baht. Most venues are open until around 1am. A handful are open until the early hours. Our concierge service includes helping guests to plan activities/spas/trekking plus advice on events in and around the city. This service is impartial and is included in the room charge. We would never recommend tourist service companies with animal cruelty reputations. BaanBooLOo Village is a 'green' environmentally friendly organisation evolving gradually. Our long term goal is to create a green oasis in the form of a living museum in the historic old city walls. ... more   less
