I was greeted by Kitty who runs this guest house. She is so friendly as are her staff, so helpful and really made me feel at home on my first solo adventure! Kitty took the time To talk about art with me and suggested the Mai Iam contemporary art museum- a must! My room was clean and fresh, very comfortable... More

We arrived at the hotel at about 10:00 AM as we informed them when they asked about our arrival time. The girl at the reception told us the check in is at 2:00 PM, so we left our bags there and went for a walk in the city as we thought they might need to clean the room first. We... More

Thank you very much for your review. The room might not be ready as it seemed from outside for many reasons. It might need some kind of maintenance and we might be waiting for the repairman. Or when we use mosquito spray, it takes time for the smell to go away and it is dangerous to inhale it when you... More

Simple but clean, cheap and good breakfast. Location is quiet and in the middle of the old town. Free water, tea. Helpfull staff. Garden and hammocks. Free wifi. 100 m to the old gate. A lot of restaurants in the streets around.

We arrived late and the lady didn't mind us formally checking in in the morning which was nice, room OK, could do with some TLC but it is a budget guesthouse. Bed sheets had holes that had been stitched up so probably ancient! Shower and WC separate which was a nice surprise! Room doors face a communal balcony so not... More

The hotel is cheap, clean and in a great location. Staff are very cold and never smile, the windows are not proper windows that close and the place is very noisy as all rooms face onto the communal / breakfast area. Someone starts sweeping the floor at 7:30 and tourists decend on the breakfast area at 8:00 so don't expect... More

We booked this hotel and paid well in advance (several months ahead). However, when we arrived at the reception, we were told that there are no available rooms. Just like that! We are experienced travelers, but this happened for the first time... They have to do something with their internal coordination urgently. Advise: even is you have a confirmed booking,... More

We would like to express our sincerest apology for what happened. It is our fault to book one instead of two rooms for you. Normally we e-mail guests about a week before to greet them and ask about their check-in time to make sure that proper check-in process is arranged. We now manage the bookings even more strictly. Again we... More

We stayed for 7 nights in late December 2015 including Christmas Day. The staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived very late due a delayed flight but they waited until 8.30pm to check us in. The young ladies on the reception speak a little English and the owner speaks excellent English. The owner told us about a great free Photographic... More

I can't rave enough about the great location of Baan Jaja. Located a short walk from the East gate, there is a good restaurant, cooking school, massage place and even a yoga studio just minutes from this guesthouse. It is also located by the street of the Sunday walking market and other major streets. Everyone at the guesthouse was wonderful.... More
