Locared close to some of the big thai restaurants like White House, riverside bar and grill etc so plenty of options to dine out if the food here don't appeal to you. A nice vegetarian restaurant also close by for those who like the Asian veggie food.
Check in was swift, friendly and helpful.
There are 2 restaurants on site but unsure if both were open with the current climate. A beer bar which has seating outside is also open. Swimming pools, sunbathing area, view tower, pond are some of the things to see around the resort.
We took the plungepool access room; this was a little dated but nice, the plunge pool could do with a good clean as green algae has grown on the tiles. There are quite a few mosquitoes about but during our time there a mosquitoe spray of the ground took place. AC in room was in good working condition. A bath as well as shower is provided. Dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries, TV, hair dryer, safe, fridge are all in the room, no iron too but it's no problem as there is a laundry service or a laundry shop just 50m away on the street.
Wifi is strong and reliable.
A small parking area and more room on the street if needed.
Breakfast is more suited to Asians with the usual Asian cuisine catered for. A few cereals and bread/cakes for westerners. An egg bar catering for your egg request is also here.
The thing that really stands out for us is the staff, they are all really helpful, friendly and nothing seems to be a problem for them, this is a massive positive impact for anyone away on holiday, congratulations and thanks to them all for making us feel so welcome.

Despite being so close to the city center, Siripanna is doing so well to reserve its traditional Lanna-style atmosphere and service. One of the best experience I have had in Chiang Mai. Our bedrooms were spacious and clean but what impressed me the most was the view and how relaxing the environment was! On the first night, we decided to dine in the principle restaurant of the hotel, with the price they were offering (300+baht per person) it was worth the price and very satisfying! All the staff were very helpful and attentive in which made my stay even better! Upon our departure, Khun Big, the general manager escorted us to the car to wish us a bon voyage. My stay couldn't have been better than this!

SiriPanna located near train station, not as busy area as I thought. It huge, very Thai cultural rich deco, including a rice field which you can actually plant rice, a lovely coffee shop, very reasonable price, we had Italian passion fruit soda and cakes only 200 baht for two of us.
The room is very big, I love the wooden floor. Big Bath room has bath tub and shower. Also has a balcony.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. I really enjoy staying there and definitely come again.

The room had a safe, fridge, TV, air con, free wi-fi, balcony with a double sofa and a table. There was a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, dried milk and 2 free bottles of water per day. The bathroom had soap, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner combined, body lotion, hairdryer, shower cap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, cotton buds, comb, razor, tissues and flannels.
Breakfast was OK with plenty of Thai food, bacon, sausage, cereal, milk, fruit, yoghurt, bread (and a toaster), jams and salad. A bird flew in and settled on the table where the food was but none of the staff seem bothered to shoo it away (they were to busy chatting to each other).
As we weren't being picked up to go to the airport until 6,30pm the hotel agreed to a free late check-out of 2pm rather than the usual noon. We then got a phone call at 12.30 asking us to vacate the room - we explained they had agreed to a late check out and they said can you leave in 10 minutes! Two phone calls later they agreed we could stay and they would 'just have to find another room for the new guests'!

Hotel is clean and the staff are very nice, upon arrival after requesting a king and a double room, we were given 2 double rooms, then 2 king rooms. My adult children ended up sharing a king bed. Our rooms Air conditioner was broken, changed rooms, the next day and ended up in a double room having to put two beds together. Could’ve traded rooms with my kids but it was too much of an ordeal.
Being gluten free, other than eggs and a poor selection of fruit there was really nothing on the breakfast menu to eat.
I found the location of the hotel to be inconvenient as you couldn’t walk anywhere, and the hotel shuttle was very inconveniently timed and very limited. Food overall was very very mediocre. Would not go back.

My husband and three children stayed at the Siripanna hotel in Chiang Mai for about 5 days over the Christmas holidays. The hotel has lovely decor. It’s built like an old plantation home like my grandmother lived in amongst the rice fields in India. The rooms were big and the grounds lovely with a rice and sunflower field. However I’m afraid the hotel doesn’t do a good job of keeping it up well. I found our room
wasn’t as clean as I would expect for the price we paid. And things in the room didn’t work.. the phone kept ringing randomly, the pipe leaked. The sink didn’t drain well. I could live with all of this and would still have given it a higher rating because of the grounds and decor. But the main hotel restaurant where breakfast was served was terrible. The first night we were there there was Christmas Eve buffet that was pretty good so I was optimistic. However the next morning when we went to breakfast some of the food was uncovered and there were bugs all over it. The staff must have seen and didn’t do anything about it. I then saw a cockroach on the table with the food stations and quickly lost my appetite. The staff seemed uninterested in taking care of the food. I got extremely ill that night vomiting for 24 hours. Of course I don’t know for sure it was that restaurant but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was. That restaurant turned me off to the hotel. However I will say that the front desk staff were helpful and the rooms were large and location was good too.. not far from old chiang mai.

The below reviews are correct, this property does have a somewhat abandoned feel, with parts of the property - including two or three of the restaurants - not currently in use and in need of some TLC. (That does add to the charm walking around; you feel almost like Indiana Jones discovering a lost city and rice fields.) It does seem like it once was a very grand resort with multiple restaurants, activities, and even rice farming demonstrations on the property. There is a spa, but it did not seem like it was open when we were there. However, is still a lovely, well-maintained and comfortable place to stay, with two beautiful pools, good food in the one remaining operational restaurant, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was beautiful, clean, and decorated in the local style, with plenty of space for our clothes, complementary robes and slippers, and a balcony overlooking the lush grounds. The only drawback is the location. It is not in walking distance anything worth seeing (there are a just a couple of small local food places), and certainly nowhere near the bustling and historic Old Town, with its many cafes, convenience stores, shops, and temples. (It is close to the Night Market, but still not within walking distance.) The staff, however, is always happy to call a taxi for you, and it is very easy and inexpensive to find a Tuk Tuk on the street for the ride back. Still, if you would like to be able to just step out for a spontaneous trip to a shop, bar, or cafe, you might be better off staying somewhere other than this secluded resort, particularly since the resort amenities and food options are not as extensive as they might have been at one time.

Siripanna Hotel, it was amazing. Breakfast was average but that's personal preference as I didn’t want rice and prefer pastries. Pools could be cleaner with leaves but it didn't stop me from swimming. They provided pool towels too and brought drinks to you if you wanted them. Hotel room was very clean and absolutely stunning. They topped up the water constantly which I like as I drink tons of water. A little bit out of the city but I was fine with that. They could do with learning how to make pina colada. Nice check out time of 12pm.

Please, I kindly ask… “the hotel needs a lot of work” it’s depressing! It needs a loving hand, needs sanitation, I wonder if the aircon has ever been serviced, it’s so loud that you don’t wake up to the sound of nature … or maybe you do; the mozzies are very annoying, the restaurant oh my! So beautiful but… the pool in the photos look WOW!, in person another story it needs treatment. The hotel is nice, the stuff I must say are beautiful, kind and friendly ready to go the extra mile for you but the hotel in general needs love!

We stayed for 1 night just for experience and by far hotel is beautiful and clean. Room is very big.
We decided to try dinner buffets a long with cold white wines and we really enjoyed it. Lots of food selections as well.
Staffs were very helpful and friendly. We are planning coming back again during summer time to enjoy swimming pool and rice farm.
