We had two rooms. Both rooms were connecting and I liked that this hotel offered this. Both rooms were spacious and the bathroom had a bathtub and a shower. The breakfast was alright as it had many options but the croissants and donuts were not fresh. The downside was that there was a leak inside a lamp which caused a mushroom to grow on the ceiling. Towels were forgotten to be replenished and sheets were left messy. One pool was so dirty you couldn’t see the bottom. The towels were on low supply so you were given wet ones. Overall it felt dated and not to our standards. Would not come back. Especially as it is far from downtown.

The hotel was nice when we booked it. In really, it's old and not maintain. The team is nice. Pool was dirty, poor breakfast (not too much customers) We appreciate the discount the manager did due to pool issue, but I still remain disappointed.

We stayed in this hotel in July 2022 and we were so looking forward to our stay in Chiang Mai due to all te good reviews/ stunning website pictures etc. When we arrived it was so much different then portrayed. Positive: The room was good (minibar, kingsize bed, airconditioning, shower and bath, cleaning service) The people in the hotel did their best for us, everyone was sweet and helpful. Even tho they didn’t speak English they tried there best. Negative: The hotel was so abandoned due to COVID. Most of the facilities they portrayed on the website do not exist anymore or are lacking in quality. Ex: the woorden bords around the pool were missing and broken. It was so dangerous because all of the eroded metal. When we were looking for the Italian restaurant we found on the site, it just didn’t exist anymore. The 2 pools are little and there were only 4 chairs each? The pool bar also closed. We can imagine that this hotel was once superb but due to COVID it changed. We do not recommend a stay here unless they adapt some things.

Before the pandemic this hotel cost a fortune to stay at. We'd previously tried to stay here back in 2019 but was out of our budget. Thankfully we were able to stay here this year and get a big discount, with breakfast. The main reason to stay is obviously to stay in the Balinese style (Lanna) rooms. If you want a modern room, then you may as well stay in one of the 100s of other normal hotels in Chiang Mai. We stayed in the Royal Lanna villa and our friends stayed in the Deluxe Lanna overlooking the jungle. Our room was large and clean, located near the swimming pool, which I must say is one of the biggest I've ever experienced in Chiang Mai, you can swim right round! Definitely get some good Instagram shots there. I only gave this hotel a 4 star because given how much time off they've had due to Covid, they should really have touched up the minor issues at the resort. Here's my take; - Our room had a gap between the sala and the front door. Everytime it rained, the porch to our room would flood and our shoes would get wet. We ended up having to bring our shoes inside. - The water pressure in our bath tub was poor. It took nearly 20-30 minutes every time we wanted to use the spa. This was likely due to the tap not being correctly fitted (it was loose) rather than the pressure to the tap. - The fish pond at reception needs a good clean, everytime you'd walk past you'd get a waft of fish, not pleasant. - The aircon in the gym still doesn't work. I read someone else's review from months ago, but sure enough we couldn't turn it on either, fix this! - The hotel generally needs a good clean. Areas inside and outside just looked a bit dreary and a good clean, or paint would bring it up to par. Staff were excellent, breakfast was decent and the other hotel facilities were decent, just needed a bit more love to make it the 5 star hotel it probably once was.

Locared close to some of the big thai restaurants like White House, riverside bar and grill etc so plenty of options to dine out if the food here don't appeal to you. A nice vegetarian restaurant also close by for those who like the Asian veggie food. Check in was swift, friendly and helpful. There are 2 restaurants on site but unsure if both were open with the current climate. A beer bar which has seating outside is also open. Swimming pools, sunbathing area, view tower, pond are some of the things to see around the resort. We took the plungepool access room; this was a little dated but nice, the plunge pool could do with a good clean as green algae has grown on the tiles. There are quite a few mosquitoes about but during our time there a mosquitoe spray of the ground took place. AC in room was in good working condition. A bath as well as shower is provided. Dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries, TV, hair dryer, safe, fridge are all in the room, no iron too but it's no problem as there is a laundry service or a laundry shop just 50m away on the street. Wifi is strong and reliable. A small parking area and more room on the street if needed. Breakfast is more suited to Asians with the usual Asian cuisine catered for. A few cereals and bread/cakes for westerners. An egg bar catering for your egg request is also here. The thing that really stands out for us is the staff, they are all really helpful, friendly and nothing seems to be a problem for them, this is a massive positive impact for anyone away on holiday, congratulations and thanks to them all for making us feel so welcome.

I’ve been traveling through Thailand for two weeks and this hotel is the worst hotel I stayed at. The rooms need major remodeling, don’t be fool by the pictures, the hotel is very outdated. The pictures on their website is not even close to how the rooms actually are. The breakfast was below average. There were too many mosquitoes even when I was sitting in the restaurant in the closed area there were too much mosquitoes. I didn’t have this problem in any of the hotels in Thailand except here. The location is not near the shops restaurants and the old town. Overall I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Very strict on pre paid rates when a change is made due to an emergency. We would never return and money comes first before the guest. And mosquitoes all over! The included breakfast was the only plus.

We stayed for 1 night just for experience and by far hotel is beautiful and clean. Room is very big. We decided to try dinner buffets a long with cold white wines and we really enjoyed it. Lots of food selections as well. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. We are planning coming back again during summer time to enjoy swimming pool and rice farm.
