We had a five star experience at this beautiful boutique hotel. Even during pandemic times, its clear they have maintained a very high level of service and cleanliness, we were very impressed. The rooms are classic, large, well appointed with many small features and extra ammedinites that surprised and delighted my girlfriend. The courtyard and pool provided wonderful ambience for morning and afternoon swims. The breakfast was substantial and an abundance of western and thai options, we enjoyed both equally. The location is within a short walking distance to the night bazaar with plenty to see and do. We had a handwritten note awaiting us in our room and were presented with a lovely parting gift on the way out. It seems like I might be working for the hotel with such a lovely review, but we just really enjoyed it and look forward to coming back soon. I should add that during this time, the rate per night was a fraction of what it normally would cost but we felt we got a tremendous value and this hotel deserves all the praise and hopefully continues to get enough business to power through this slow time. Highly recommended!…
Ping Nakara is a gem of a boutique hotel amidst Chiang Mai. It truly felt like paradise when we stayed this past month - gorgeous setting with colonial architecture, stunning pool, elegant balconies facing a courtyard, and a “library” of lovely plush couches and cabinets of books inspiring nostalgia. PLUS, the spa is incredible! We booked massage after massage and they were never long enough. The staff are kind, helpful, and hospitable. We didn’t want to leave. We will miss this place. We will return and highly recommend.
Feel very lucky to have stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting the sights of Chiang Mai. The hotel is situated around a 20 minute walk into the old city, it’s in a quiet area. The hotel and staff are first rate, the rooms are lovely and breakfast is all you need, great coffee, croissant, smoked salmon, fruits etc. Service is old fashioned, you get cups and saucers and your bed turned down at night. I will miss this place!
Had such a lovely stay at this boutique hotel! Art was our driver from the airport and helped take us around town. He was such a friendly person and even stopped traffic at one point so my husband could cross the road to get to the ATM. The ladies at the front desk, Mon and Mita were very helpful and always willing to assist us with drivers and Covid testing arrangements. We enjoyed breakfast each morning by the pool area. Be sure to use bug spray at all times of the day. The mosquitoes can be vicious if you have sweet blood like me! For any trips or excursions be sure to speak with Noom to help get you scheduled. He is such a knowledgeable and friendly guide! He will definitely personalize your trip and go the extra mile to make it a memorable experience. The hotel itself is very charming and quaint. Our daily maid service did an excellent job keeping everything fresh and clean. The location itself is in good proximity to the Night Bazzar and local markets. If you don’t like walking the hotel will gladly arrange a ride for you. Be sure to visit the spa for an amazing massage at a great price.…
I wanted to finish our northern Thailand adventure with some style and Ping Nakara lived up to all of our expectations. The property as such is stunning, very nice architecture with a lovely pool and inner courtyard. Very nice and large room. Nice interior decoration just like the rest of the hotel. The bathroom was large as well with a deep bathtub and a separate shower. Best shower in a long time. Happy Hour at the Library bar was nice and relaxing. Made to order breakfast in the morning was great. Location was quiet.
This charming little hotel completely ticked the boxes for a mini-break in Chiang Mai. it had everything we needed - pool, large comfortable room, fabulous shower and above all a wonderful chauffeur service in a vintage mercedes! the staff could not have been more helpful and we we definitely be returning and sending our friends there. Well done to everyone for providing such hospitality in difficult covid times.
A rather well managed boutique hotel in the midst of Covid pandemic. Notably a clean and tidy property with the charm of a bygone era. Our stay was a lovely one and we look forward to staying again when we visit Chiang Mai the next round.
From the staff, to the room, to the property, to the breakfast our stay a Ping Nakara was amazing. Located in the heart of Chiang Mai but yet quiet and peaceful. The hotel is from the Lanna Colonial inspiration and everywhere you look there is beauty to behold. Highly recommend this quiet boutique hotel.
Recently stayed at Ping Nakara resort on a Chiang Mai trip and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hotel in addition to the beautiful colonial decoration. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious, both buffet and a la carte dishes. Definitely worth checking out.
The service here is cold, uninterested and unwelcoming. Particularly the women at the front desk and the elderly foreign manager. The restaurant staff was lovely. Have stayed in most of the 5 * hotels in Chiang Mai - this was the worst in regards to service and we couldn't wait to leave. Avoid! We have been enjoying a few weeks of 5 * hotels and this was by far our least favourite and we actually couldn't wait to leave the next morning. The front desk ladies were cold on arrival and could barely smile or look up whenever we returned during the entire stay. They gave off a very unwelcome vibe from check in to check out. Most times the 1 or 2 women on staff were in the little office behind the front desk playing on their phones. No welcome drink/cold towel or anything on arrival that resembled what most 5* in Thailand do during check in. The room was spotlessly clean but the AC never got below 25. Blew warm air and we just didn't feel like dealing with the ladies in the front or the hassle of getting it fixed. Based on the service thus far we knew this is not the place to graciously move you, but instead send a maintenance guy in the room to fix it. You oddly enter into the room through the bathroom. We were on the top floor in their highest category. The balcony has no warmth just a rattan table and two chairs. Bed was fine. Water pressure good. Front desk woman escorted us to the room and promptly walked out. We had to search the room for things like towels, toiletries and refrigerator. Again, no semblance of service. BE WARNED! There is a massive construction site across the street,so expect quite a lot of noise. Breakfast was adequate. The lady serving was absolutely lovely, efficient and friendly. She should be the manager and train the surly ladies at the front desk. ...which brings me too the actual manager. I greeted the elderly foreign manager after breakfast as he was walking past and asked him a question. He curtly answered and walked away. Never have I stayed in years at a 5 * boutique property and had a manager so uninterested in guests. Chiang Mai has so many lovely 5* properties with exceptionally warm service and we've stayed at most of them over the years. My advice is to avoid this hotel…
