The hotel is spacious, harmonious and green. Very quiet hotel with very helpful staff. Every time we asked, they recommended places and facilitated our visits. Comfortable rooms, we have been upgraded to be closer to ours kids. The kids loved the swimming pool, & breakfast. We enjoyed the spacious bedroom, wooden decoration, calm, and service. Hot water can be slow to come, a pity in terms of waste. Charming stay.
We had a great time here. We stayed for 5 nights and we loved the food, the staff and the pool. We also treated ourselves to a couples massage in the spa which was amazing and I definitely recommend! The only down side is, this is not in the centre of town, it’s definitely a car ride! Not expensive, and it really wasn’t an issue for us at all, there are a couple of free shuttle buses a day from the hotel or a quick and cheap taxi, but just something to take note of.
Stayed the first time in Chiang Mai at the Rainforest Hotel and loved it. From the time I arrived, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel is locate approx 6 km from the old town, and offers free shuttle service at 8 pm to the night market. Taxis or motor bike (taxis) are widely available and get you for appr 60-100 bth to the city. (one way). The breakfast buffet was not overly extensive but ok. The pool area is good. The restaurant offers poolside service. The room ( Luxury Room) was fantastic. It featured a ground spa and the mattress quality was perfect. Rooms have mini bars and safe.
We recently stayed for 3 nights at this Hotel and had a lovely stay. The bedroom and bathroom was clean, comfortable and well equiped. The restaurant served great food with friendly staff ( we had breakfasts and evening meals). It has 2 pools and we enjoyed relaxing on sunbeds and swimming after various excursions and making the most of the facilities. Good location as situated up a quiet side street off a busy main street so it was a great place to relax away from the busy city of Chiang Mai. Recommend this Hotel and would stay again if return to Chiang Mai.
Great little hotel, but don’t book this thinking that you will be in the centre of everything. A 100baht tuktuk will see you to the old town and you can explore from there! 2 great swimming pools with friendly bar staff to keep those cocktails coming. Would recommend for family’s and couples.
We had planned to stay 5 nights in the hotel, but ended up staying only 2. The welcome was okay. Not the greatest enthusiasm, but kind enough. The room (305) was worn, there was mold on the walls of the bathroom, cobwebs all over the ceiling, and the AC was very noisy. - There are basically no places to eat nearby. - There are no shopping nearby. - There is a lot of noise in the hotel. - The pool wasn't quite warm. - Breakfast was ok, but nothing more. Not what we expected and therefore we cannot recommend the hotel
Stayed for 4 nights holiday Lovely hotel, hard beds though asked for mattress topper Didn’t use pool but looked good Great food in restaurant Free bus to night market Friendly staff hotel and restaurant Would return definitely
It’s definitely worth giving this place a go - we stayed 5 nights and it’s got everything we needed. Don’t expect luxury but it’s a good base to explore from and it’s nice to be able to come back to somewhere where you can hang out around the pool. Although in 5 days we were so busy we only ended up spending time around the pool for a couple of hours at most. Expect to pay 100-150bht each way to get into central Chiang Mai and back. We walked it one evening but it’s definitely better to get a taxi or Tuk Tuk. There’s also a really lovely, well looked after black lab who keeps you company with you while your waiting for pick ups.
We stayed here at the start of our trip and it was so good that we booked to come back for 3 days at the end as well. Very large rooms in an old traditional Thai style, and just 25 mins walk from the centre (or a very quick and cheap tuk tuk). The staff are very helpful and there is a free taxi service to the night market every evening. We loved it!
We loved this place! Our room was amazing. The room is definitely rustic but clean and comfortable! The staff were super great. It was not overly crowded and away from the busy touristy area. There is a free shuttle to the night market. There is a family across the street that offer inexpensive laundry, taxis, and tours. It felt very safe when we walked around. We loved the buffet breakfast every morning. We also enjoyed the other meals we ate there. Both inexpensive and yummy! We stayed in many ‘fancier’ newer hotels while we were there as well... and we can be hotel snobs... and this isn’t the fanciest... but there is something magical and true that we really loved. We were there for six nights. We would stay there again and would recommend it!
