Fantastic location, friendly staff and comfortable bed! Hot water and bathtub, lovely shampoo etc very very happy with my stay! Beautiful spot with pool and local neighborhood enchanting. Easy walk to old town and eateries! Perfect spot will be back!!
We loved this place. The location, room, breakfast and staff were all amazing. I especially loved the big deep bath and endless hot water which is hard to find in Thailand. We'll go back to stay again 💯
Lovely, modern, well maintained hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. Our room was at the top floor. Convenient location; quiet area, close to Wat Sri Suphan (silver tempel). For our visits to the city we used Grab taxis, which were easy to find. Breakfast was included in our room rate; there were several options. We recommend this hotel 100%.
We booked for 3 nights, we arrived at about 10 in the morning and the room was already given to us, not that busy. We were welcomed by Khun Noi who was very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was well maintained and clean. The location was kinda far in the main city, but a quiet one, got lost several times but thanks to Google Maps. We rented a motorbike nearby (8mins away) which cost 200baht per day. The room was huge, a balcony overlooking the pool, a bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. My concern was that I’m with a friend and the bathroom has a Japanese sliding door/walls design which can be open at anytime, can even peak you if you weren’t able to line the doors properly, just a funny thing because it was a little bit awkward. They have complete bathroom amenities and the scents of the shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash were amazing! The bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable, we could just stay all day in bed while watching in their smart TV, we can even watch youtube in it. They don’t have telephone in the room, so if you have any request, you need to go to reception and ask it yourself. WiFi was a bit weak in our room, but it was good in the balcony. We planned to go to a Chiang Rai tour and Khun Noi has helped us organized it however, the night before we depart, we got pretty much concerned with the Virus so we just decided not to go, we are out so I called the hotel and Khun Nitnoi helped me contact Khun Noi to cancel it. I really felt bad about cancelling it as it was last minute and Khun Noi has prepared our breakfast box already, just really want to apologize about that. The breakfast has limited options but cannot complain much as the value of it was reasonable. They will ask you to select one in their breakfast menu. We liked the American breakfast, composed of two fried eggs with cheese, mushroom, bacon, potato and baked tomato, it’s also served with juice. There are several options for teas, I always get my ginger tea. You can toast a bread, get cereals and fruits! Though I have some issues, our entire stay was amazing, the staffs made it fantastic. …
Amazing property, with amazing staff. A must stay in Chiang Mai. Wonderful breakfast and super relaxing pool. Mae Noi is very helpful with any tours or day adventures. We visited Doi Inthanon and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Beds are very comfortable and the rain shower is perfect after a long day.
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here while backpacking through Asia. Sugar Cane should be classed as 5 star hotel! The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are a decent size. Bed was so cosy. Pool area and breakfast area was lovely. So many toiletries left in the rooms for guests. The lady on the reception Noi, couldn’t have been more helpful and the staff were so accommodating. Would 100% recommend
My husband and I stayed at Sugar Cane for 3 nights and we are so happy we did! The staff is welcoming and friendly and the owner Nai (spelling?) was always available to assist us with any questions or services we needed such as taxi, laundry service, etc. A delicious breakfast is included (730am to 1130am) and its something we looked forward to every morning. Everything was delicious and fresh, with juice options and fruit available. They also have a restaurant with a variety of food options however we didnt get an opportunity to try it. The rooms are modern, clean, spacious, and functional. I believe every room includes a small balcony facing the pool. The room includes a bathtub which was a nice feature in addition to all the other little amenities such as body wash, shampoo, etc available. You can take a 10-15 min walk to the Old Town or take a Tuk Tuk Taxi. Staying at Sugar Cane felt like we were in a little garden oasis and we highly recommend it. Below is a picture of us with the hospitable owner Nai. Side review: a nice little bar called Jethro's is a 2 min walk away and we looked forward to having a couple of drinks and food there each evening. …
Sugarcane hotel in chaing mai was a perfect place we could have thought of. It met all our expectation infact exceeded. Spacious rooms. Well equipped room with all required amenities for a traveller. Perfect quite location slightly away from hustle of city area. Launderette at a walking distance. Amazing breakfast and food options. Just inform them about customization if required with prior notice and they take care of same. Freshly made prepararions. The owner and her team are excellent .they provide a personalized warm welcome and stay. They have a swimming pool to chill and also assist with car hires. We opted for a self drive ar . It was excellent. We drove to doi inthanon peak. Was just the way we wanted. I highly recommend this place
Upon greeting us the staff was very warm . especially to my thai partner .Quick to check us two and a friend with a connecting room. The bed and pillow firm but nice and comfy..the bathroom bad design for fairly new hotel. . shower curtain ,not a class door . . .toilet just jammed in there.. not enough power points through bathroom and bedroom. First day there got one english channel on TV . but in the morning it was gone.Stuart (the owner ) had a look. ( stuart is english so I expected at least BBC news but no ) apologised but still . the place has been open for a few years now.think done this before now. I found the pool cold in and very small . breakfast was a set menu . american ,continental, or thai. with fresh coffee and juice and bread for toast... ok for a small hotel. The location is good and bad.. Bit of a walk in and the old city and at day a bit much. but saying that it was quite at night for sleeping . easy just get grab on your phone.. just like uber..…
We stayed here for about 3 days and had the most wonderful time. Everything about the hotel was wonderful. It’s a little outside of the centre but still very close and probably nicer that way. I ended up getting sick from eating something in the town and the staff in Sugarcane couldn’t have been nicer to me giving diorilite and other medicine. All in all I couldn’t recommend more.
