Unfriendly staff, laundry destroyed my shirts! When I complained they started insulting me. The room was absolutely dirty! The whole house smelled like urin, it was disgusting. Within our four weeks stay in Thailand we've seen many cheap hotels. But SK house is the worst place we've been to.

We found this place by chance as we got off the night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. It was very early in the morning and we would of slept on a park bench if nothing came up. A tour seller talked us into booking a jungle trek and we managed to get station transfers and rooms. Two persons sharing... More

When we first showed up the staff were friendly enough, the room was 250 baht / night which was good for a double fan room but it pretty much stopped there. After the first night we were met with extremely unfriendly staff at the front desk who ignored us and grumbled when checking out and grumbled when we asked to... More

We arrived to the hotel in late March and stayed for 8 nights. The hotel is quite nice with it's inner section and pool. The rooms were no more than OK but for 150baht/night it was worth the money. BUT the staff! If the staff was OK this would be a guest house to recommend - but this was not... More

The hotel itself, the cleanliness, the pool and the rooms were decent. The only reason for the low rating the horrible staff. You most certainly do not feel welcome here. The tourist information in the front lobby attacked us and try to sell their day trips. We heard from other guests that this tourist agency was horrible so we chose... More

This guest house has some very good features - in particular a good swimming pool and a series of pleasant courtyards that are decorated with Thai carvings and sculpture. The location is also very convenient, in a quiet lane with many small backpacker guest houses, cafes and bars. Despite its good features, I can't rate it as more than average.... More

This place is perfect for backpackers. It provides all the essential necessities plus the added bonus of clean private rooms and bathrooms, hot water, towels, and an awesome pool and garden/chill out area with tons of sweet artwork. Its in a great social area with a few bars and some awesome restaurants. With all these great things the rooms are... More

The guesthouse is situated in the old city and is close to lots temples and restaurants. The rooms are bright and clean and there is a pool. The common areas of the hotel are lovely with lots of plants and Thai carvings and art. The restaurant serves decent food and it's very easy to get a tuk from there to... More

Sk house cost us £12 per room, I didn't think they were worth this price, dark rooms with an outdated look. It says free wi-fi out front but it's a lie you only get free wi-fi for the first half an hour then either pay for it or keep going to reception for the new username and password which will... More

Stayed two nights in end of january 2013. First impression was that the staff was not very friendly when checking in and when asking about tours. The person at the tour-booking desk was wearing sunglasses while we were talking to her and was trying to push us to buy their tour which was almost twice as expensive as the other... More
