This hotel off a main road outside of Chiang Mai is quirky and sweet. It grows on you and the outside area is beautiful. The staff is sweet and welcoming. Their recommendation for a restaurant off-site was good. The swimming pool is serene and pretty. Rooms are clean and spacious. We did in-room massages which were great. The arranged shuttle to and from the airport was fabulous.

I'll pass on a couple things I would have liked to know before I went which would have helped our stay.

First, the "front" which is more like the back of the hotel (it's not where the pretty outdoor area is) is right on a fairly noisy road. We had a family deluxe room and my husband and I couldn't hear the traffic, but my teenagers in the "front" could. This was mostly solved by using a "white noise" app on a phone to drown out the randomly occurring loud scooter noise. My parents were in a deluxe room at the back of the property and didn't hear any noise.

Second, we kept jokingly saying that the hotel seems to have management who has really thought through everything, they have lots of systems in place to make things run smoothly, but often the execution falls short. For example, we ordered dinner twice during our stay and it took at least an hour to arrive each time. One of those times the drinks we ordered arrived after the meal was done. The staff could not be sweeter, more apologetic, or kinder. We also ordered breakfast ahead and put the forms in the little box the night before, like they say. In the morning they had our order ready, but had missed my parents' order. Again, very sweet and apologetic and fixed it quickly and this didn't happen again during our stay. None of these were a big deal for us, but it's just helpful to know that if you want to eat here (and the food was good...with the exception of the very runny omelettes) just order much earlier than you think and be patient (bring cards to play while you wait, or hang in your room until it's ready). I think they must have a small kitchen so struggle to make multiple orders. Someone's food usually will arrive after everyone else is done. Again, patience is key.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful, beautiful and welcoming hotel. After an efficient pick up from the night train, we checked in early and were immediately upgraded to a massive family apartment. This is a huge space with large bedrooms, clean bathrooms in excellent condition and wonderfully comfortable beds. The views from the balcony are great.
A delicious pre-ordered breakfast was served in the verdant green garden every morning. Every day, we were served fresh sweet fruit and delicious pancakes with really tasty toppings. We ordered numerous meals and drinks from the hotel’s menu. The meals were delivered to our apartment and we could eat around the large dining table. We particularly enjoyed the bacon sandwiches, French fries and fresh mango smoothies. In addition, we celebrated a ninth birthday during our stay and the hotel arranged a delicious chocolate cake with beautiful decorations.
The setting is perfect. The pool is clean and inviting with comfortable sun beds where you can relax to the sounds of nature. Also, the staff at the hotel are warm and friendly. They helped with transport, suggested activities and responded positively to every request. After returning from every day out, the staff asked how our day was.
Overall, we will definitely return to Villa San Pee Seua. It is a beautiful setting with a relaxed atmosphere with staff who offer genuine hospitality. Thank you.

I absolutely loved my stay at the villa. The staff is amazing, warm and welcoming. Management staff speaks fluent English, housekeeping was always on par, ground maintenance upkept, and in general, guest inquirirs, needs and wants were always facilitated.

There's an infinity pool, a large shared kitchen with plenty of cookware, a common coffee area, a smallish but new gym, and much more.

There are many + things to say but mainly they are:
1) The staff were excellent. That's the best thing about the hotel. They do their best for your comfort, they are very attentive and helpful. I was back to the hotel late one night and I found a note written to me by the staff to ask what I wanted for breakfast. That was really cute.
2) Location. Very nice and quiet hotel if you are looking for a chill and quiet hotel. This might be negative if you want a place nearby the city but it costs 80-130 Baht to the center by Grab anyway.
3) Free bike rental, shuttle bus to the city and 2 restaurants, opportunity to borrow books, play board games and DVDs.
4) Breakfast was fine, not buffet style but you choose a menu from the list. I ordered one dish for lunch once and it was good.
5) Massage service to your room if you want to have it at the hotel.
6) Tables, chairs, seats by the river are very nice. Having meals, reading or just chilling by the river is a nice and relaxing experience.
7) Clean hotel over all
8) Great value for money

Disliked
· 1)Mosquitos. Naturally, there are a lot of them as the hotel is by the river. The hotel provides free mosquito expellant at your arrival though.
2)Your bed is not made unless your request the staff. Also, there is no sign that you can put on the door to request cleaning or not to be disturbed.

We stayed a few nights at this villa and we had an amazing time. We spent one night before leaving for a 3-day trekking, they kept our luggage and when we came back they were already in a room for us. They offered towels to clean our stuff (pretty muddy after staying in the mountains!). The owners and staff are extremely nice, helpful and attentive to our needs.

And the whole place is just amazing... so peaceful and nicely decorated. The pool is very refreshing (!) and we enjoyed it a few afternoons after our morning visits to the temples, old city, etc. We used Grab to go and come back to the villa many times, it was easy and we never had any problems to find one to come back from the city.

There is a small local market at a 7-10 minute walk, don’t miss it! We were the only tourists in all the market when we went and we saw and tasted many different things. There are also a few restaurants around and the Villa offers free shuttle to two of them. We liked the ‘regular’ Thai restaurant but not the Northern Thai food restaurant. We barely ate what we got and we are not difficult at all!!

The Villa also offers many things to eat (all very good, including the breakfast choices), and free coffee and tea is always available. My family and I really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it.

Villa San Pee-Seua

San Phi Suea

It was "My Home"...

760876356

I seriously dunno where to start, been stuck in Thailand *cause of the global pandemic*, and I never thought I'd spend a quarter in the Villa. Room, pantry, by the river view, and all the amenities are just perfect in my opinion...though most days I'm just in my balcony appreciating the green horizon and the river.

I am used to being on my own, and handling things on my own, but during my stay, I felt like I am with family... with each of the staff. All of them are just so nice, from the manager to the receptionists, cleaners and all the helpers, they made me forget that I am far from home, cause being in the villa felt like it.

I'd definitely come back, might be alone, or who knows with my own family on my own! <3 LOL

This review is a long time coming! We’re a family of four, with two boys 12 and nine at the time, and we stayed at the hotel at the end of November. Initially we were supposed to stay four nights but ended up extending to six, the two other nights were to be spent in Chiang Rai. We were having such a good time in Chiang Mai that we cancelled the Chiang Rai trip.

What made our stay so wonderful was the attention we got from the staff, Prae and Buddy, we cannot thank you enough for your hospitality and patience for all the questions we had every day. Chef was amazing, the food at the hotel restaurant is so good. Keep in mind that Chef is not available late evenings, but you can enjoy the food he cooks for breakfast, lunch and I think early dinner. The food is fresh and good. One thing I noticed is that some guests would order a lot of food and not finish what they ordered, please don’t do that. Be mindful of waste. Their portions are big and quite a few times we would only order three dishes which we could share and feel full to bursting. I also highly recommend the bananas and fresh fruits in the morning.
The hotel is outside the city but easily accessible through Grab, the red taxis and the airport shuttle which leaves twice a day. You can also book tours through the front desk, and they will pick you up from the hotel. When you check in Prae and/or Buddy will give you a paper that gives you the address of the hotel and directions in Thai, always keep this with you as drivers may not be familiar with the place.

For a family of four I would recommend the family room which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which works great when you come back all sweaty from an outing. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. They also have professional masseuses who come to the hotel, you will have to book through the front desk, even kids can get a massage!

This is the place to stay when you are in Chiang Mai.

Wow, what a great week we have had staying here. The customer service is outstanding, better than most I have had in Thailand. We’ve just checked into a 5* in Bangkok and the check in wasn’t nearly as helpful as what Khun Nui did at Villa San Pee Suea. The staff go above and beyond to provide you with information and to help you. The hotel has a great walkie talkie and phone system meaning you can get help anytime and anywhere in the grounds (great idea!). Thank you to Khun Nui and Khun Tammy for taking such great care of my family, we look forward to seeing you again next year. Thank you to all the staff, cleaners, the cook, the gardener and the man always helping with the bags and our car (whose name I forgot to find out).
The hotel has great facilities and a beautiful saltwater pool. It is such a good idea to provide hot fresh coffee all day, just what a mum with a small baby needs! The breakfast system has good variety and all the dishes were very good. Food from the menu is also really good. The room is nice and the whole hotel has great attention to detail, I love all the cute things I would spot every day in the garden. It’s lovely to sit out on the lawn and have breakfast.

I spend 2 weeks in this hotel. It has a very relaxing atmosphere, very quiet. I choosed the deluxe room, which is perfect for me, big room, big balcony with amazing view on garden, river and moutain. The garden is luxurious, the swimming pool beautiful. The breakfast is generous and taste so good, the staff is really friendly, you can ask whatever you want to them. I felt really like at home there. I will definitively return there for my next time in Chiang Mai.

Wow.

Where to even begin with this review.
Without a doubt one of the most warm, welcoming and attentive places I've ever stayed at in Thailand. Not to mention the gorgeous scenery and breathtaking views of the river.

I chose this place to host my girlfriends 30th Birthday party, and straight away I was made to feel at ease by the attentiveness and reassurance of the manager. All my requests were met with the warmest of considerations, and every little detail was attended to with precision and care.

The day was a monumental success, with beautiful pool decorations, birthday bunting, flower displays, bespoke seating, BBQ and more, all arranged and organised by the smiling hotel staff.

Thank you so much for making this day so incredibly special 🙏

You have all been amazing, and we can't wait to stay here again soon.

Love Ben and Andy.

Hello, If my memories are right it was 400 or 500 bath for five people. We take a big cab just in a front of the airport and the driver drop us 30min later. (Sorry for my English but I'm French :))
