Detailed Reviews
A nice boutique hotel that is very pet-friendly. The hotel also has a small pool if you want to take your dog for a swim. We also used the outdoor shower next to the pool to bathe our dog. All premises are cleaned daily and staff are friendly. My only disappointment with the room were the bath towels as they were quite thin and worn. Also, must be careful of the many Soi (street) dogs in the neighbourhood when walking your dog. We carried a hiking pole to scare them off if need be.
There is a cafe on site that serves good coffee and simple but tasty meals both western and Thai cuisine. The cafe allows you to bring in your pet with you. Also, there are some other nice restaurants nearby with outdoor seating that allow dogs on leash (best to ask first).
Otherwise great stay and would recommend if you need a pet-friendly place with close proximity to central Chiang Mai.

My wife and I been here for 3 nights. The reason we booked this hotel because we've got 3 cats travel together. we arrived there around Noon after drove for 12 hours when we approach the check-in counter we were informed that the room was not yet ready for check-in, you can wait at the cafe. Lady staff said. we understand the policy but what made us impress was that shortly after our room ready they arranged for early check-in The room was okay comfortable bed and full room amenities. The hotel not far from the City center which only 5 min drive. Car park limited if the hotel busy you have to park the car outside, the staff was nice and very friendly we definitely go back again

Hd a quick drink at the pet cafe, coffee and a soda. Coffee was nice and reasonable price for a nice cafe. Went into the pet zone and had cuddles with the adorable dogs and kitty in there. After being inside the cafe I so wish we had chosen this hotel as looks great. A must for any pet lover and we are one of them!

+1
I stayed at the Ketawa hotel during my vacation with my sister and brother in Chiang Mai. We had a very positive experience during our stay. The property was beautiful and the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful from beginning to end! They assisted us with booking excursions for the Flight of the Gibbon ziplining tour and the Elephant Nature Park. The hotel also had a nice cafe with great breakfast, good quality coffee/espresso and delicious ice cream. The staff was even so helpful as to help us book our hotel accomodations in Koh Phangan over the phone, which was extremely helpful with much being lost in translation. Although the location was a bit remote, it was still easy walking distance to the night bazaar (about 15 minutes) and restaurants/nightlife along the river. The ambiance at the hotel was peaceful and quiet, with a nice pool available as well.
Overall I would recommend this hotel and considered it a great value for the price we paid.

Wonderful wonderful boutique hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and then changed our plans and came back for another night. Stylish hotel, awesome rooms, fantastic breakfast (with great jazz playing in the background), such friendly and helpful staff - everyone went out of their way to help us. Great location, close to riverside restaurants and a lovely walk to the Night bazaar. After 3 months in Thailand this is the best place i stayed.

I am on my third time in Chiang Mai and was caught a little unawares by the shortage of beds. Running out of options i went for a slightly more expensive option for the first night and was very happy with this hotel. Large room, some nice personal touches and good service. It was hidden away just on the other side of the river where i had stayed before and easy to find and easy to get to. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was funky but it has some good modern decor. Overall it was a little expensive for the area bit wasn't disappointed in my stay at all. The inclusive breakfast was good also. The question i always ask is "Would i stay again?" and definitely would have no problems in giving it second visit.

Tucked away a little but still nice and close for evening access to the Night Bazaar (15 mins on foot) we absolutely loved our stay in the Ketawa Boutique!
We were very kindly given the "charcoal gray" room we requested by email (they have different mood tones according to colour schemes). The rooms were stylish & tastefully decorated and all very cleanly kept.
I cannot stress how helpful and friendly the staff all were during our stay - from lovingly preparing our breakfasts to assisting us with booking various spa & elephant farm visits. We visited in low season so we practically had the whole place to ourselves but this never stopped the care and attention the staff lavished on us.
The hotel had a really personal style and I would definitely recommend it to couples looking for a place with some soul!

I was not even a checked-in guest…but I truly enjoyed Ketawa. My sister-in-law (who lives in Thailand) and I were winding with our walkabout in the streets of Chiang Mai for art works and knick-knacks when our tired feet brought us at the doorsteps of Ketawa Kafe. We had some lip-smacking ice cream and delightful pastries for refreshments. Nice ambience. Our excitement about the place was heightened when we were invited by the staff to have a look-see of the hotel facilities. They have beautiful, cozy, fragrantly themed rooms… plus a cute swimming pool… and wi-fi all over… We just found the exclusive place for our next class reunion in Thailand!!!

It is the 2nd time that I stay here and it is always impressive. The receptionist is very warm welcoming like I am returning back to home. The hotel is not so crowded and really close the trendy walking street - Bumroonrat road. The room is super trendy and comfort. It is not in the busy area like Nimman, but you can still go to the bar have some glass of beer at riverside and you can just walk back to the room. In the morning, you can still listen to the bird singing that welcome you to the next day - experience the real tranquility of Chiang Mai...
